Heavily shielded and armoured viper with proto missile launchers shooting at ridiculous speeds for it's damage potential. and dropping the clone score on my team from 70 -70 range to 40 - 70.... Why not just ban vehicles from ambush matches as the tiny quota allows proto vehicle people to cheat, really. Everyone's focused on the super tank that is shooting people with rail gun cannons that act like a sniper in a very large suit of armour with a very large gun. or the team slaying vehicle or the murder taxi team and the only sensible thing they can do is stand there to be shot, as they're gunned downed by other players because they can't defend their self and shoot down vehicles at once.

Dropuplinks I have no problem annihilating though.
Only things in a dropship I have trouble shooting with is a railgun or if the pilot turned the ship too much, but just that.

Props? Missile launchers aren't hard to use, running away when you get your shield tickled by a little militia swarmer isn't hard either.
I don't think proto missile launchers would be hard to use either.

1) It wasn't an ordinary viper 2) Most of us probably didn't have proto swarmers or forge guns 3) Of course no one can kill a vehicle fitted with high defense, offensive and running away.

Your humour is OP.
But yeah seriously Av grenades forge guns and some explosives are pretty effective against ground vehicles, some just a bit over-effective, but not aerial AV stuff.

Bro, its a viper. You can take one of those down even with milita swarms. I could have probably brought it down with my milita forge gun and I'm a pretty bad forger. I loose assault dropships all the time
Not single handedly when everyone is busy taking down other players, and other vehicles that are spawn destroying them.

If vehicles were banned and all they had was points into vehicles then it wouldn't be very fair to them. 3. We all know this game is unbalanced. In all honesty, you just drew the short straw. I empathize because every time I run ambush I generally run into milkman1 on the opposite team. I constantly get taken down by ADS, and OP tanks. Is it worth complaining over? Not really, because as far as everyone knows it's not going to change anytime soon.
Banned from ambush and just ambush, it's not fair that whole teams are to be destroyed by well fitted vehicle team set out, and if that won't change there weren't be updates sent out. Anything can change with an update.

I got hit by swarmers before and I don't get a problem from the knockback unless my vehicle accidentally goes into kamikaze mode when I move forward, good thing that's rare.

Yeah, you should be able to even with milita av. I've downed a few vipers with my forge. Pro tip, you can shoot out the gunner. Hell you can even shoot one down with an lab and basic or milita rail gun.
I know that, but it's not too hard to fit a vehicle if you have things to balance it out.

Aiming does take a bit of skill but it's not like it's something you must master after years of practice, while you are buffing up your KDR in ambush everyone else is having a bad time, even your team because you take all the kills, its fair.

Either ads dropships look too much like vipers or someone can micromanage with CPU and PG items like I can sometimes and added as much shielding they can possible.

This leaves AV players exposed while 150m ranged Blaster Tanks with seemingly endless ammo and no cooldown, or [inaudible] douchebags in ADSs shoot at them with impunity. Ambush should have no vehicles; it currently doesn't have the correct design for it. So while frustrating, and you'll never see me in an ADS in Ambush, we need to look to more strategic modes to asses vehicles. I don't want to be guilty of taking this out of context, so I'll just place this here. Either ads dropships look too much like vipers or someone can micromanage with CPU and PG items like I can sometimes and added as much shielding they can possible. Alsoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Tried it myself, it was a viper.

It's the map design and spawn system that heavily imbalances vehicles in that gamemode. Constantly moving battlefronts do not allow AV to setup strategic positions to attack vehicles while being defended from the [hostile] infantry by their squad.
At any time a player can spawn behind you, the battlefront can move, and there is no tactic to stop that. This removes the ability to play strategically. The maps and sockets are also to open and too small, allowing vehicles to cover the entire map in a short period of time.

I however would like to see an elimination style Land vehicles and Air vehicles game mode.
How about LAV derby?

Alright I tried a viper fit and I didn't go down easily in it.
I did a viper with a mobile Militia MCRU heavy shield extender light shield booster 2 basic PG upgrades and 2 missile launchers, only reason I did was from enemy dropship spammers or proto dropship.

Pretty hard to mistake a python for a viper. So what is this '++ber' fit?
Other matches I barely got hit because my team had tank spammers and they were focused on them, so they could have saved SP just to get proto turrets and pg cpu upgrades to add some more stuff on it. I've seen people do that before on dropsuits.

Try this fit
Viper: High slots: 3 basic light shield booster
Vehicle small turret: They were advanced turrets. 2 At-1 missile launchers
Low slots: Complex PG upgrade Complex CPU upgrade

Hmm that's a very odd fit, shield boosters are pretty unreliable. I'll go to proto fits and check this out. Would be pretty squishy tho, a milita forge and milita swarm pair could down it.
We got unlucky because our forgers were being pinned down by their tank team.

Beld Errmon wrote:Personally I don't bother playing ambush because when I want an LAV or my dropship I can't get it, if your team couldn't deal with a viper, they should seriously uninstall the game and question whether they deserve to continue wasting oxygen.
As for ADS, 2 good forge gunners can pwn them or render them completely impotent, one excellent forge gunner can leave an ADS pilot sitting in the dirt wondering wtf just happened, the fact that you or your friends aren't good or excellent does not mean the dropship is broken, just you.
Mind you we were dealing with a tank team just like that ship, only a bit of forgers being spawn killed by the tanks, and nothing else.

Medic 1879 wrote:A Viper! Bwahahaha! good one! anyway if it was running 3 shield booster the tiniest amount of co-ordination would have allowed you to easily alpha it to death, if vehicles annoy you so much because your mlt swarms do nothing an upgrade may be in order and top tip for non-ADS DS's kill the gunner, its not too hard to do unless they are sat on the turret in a brick tanked proto sentinel.
Me and a fellow corpmate are both prolific MD users and we have both managed to empty a dropship of passengers with an MD before its not too hard, its even easier with a forgegun and if it flies low one guy with a plasma cannon (or a good shot with a flux) and an MD can decimate the crew almost instantly. Yes it sucks that its hard to counter vehicles in ambush due to the crappy spawning mechanics but its doable.
Vehicles get spammed in ambush either way and its usually the same out come or vice versa.

Anyway a little tip, problems with a dropship, then just start spamming cheap lav's drop ships love having to play dodge with rdvs
Tank team as in a tank with god damn heavy armour and 2 missile launchers just like the ship.

But what do they find there. Blaster tanks ripping all to shreds. I duna about you, but that's not fun for the new guys.
