Hey guys, I realized we're a bit behind on this, so let me just put this out there:
If you've announced candidacy for CPM1, please post or send me your Skype username if I don't already have it. I'd like to get you into the candidate chat we have going on Skype, and we can also might be able to get you a spot on the Biomassed podcast.

Having a private chat channel controlled by others creates a two tier system putting certain candidates above others. "yes you may join my channel" attitude.
If you cannot see why Judge posted this or don't understand the concern this private chat channel creates regarding transparency, you are not fit to be a CPM.
Every CPM1 candidate is welcome. It's not about collusion, there's no grand plot to try and create a specific group, it's a casual chat for all of the candidates to get to know each other. There's no plotting/planning going on. And the idea that we are trying to segregate the candidate pool is very far from the truth.
I actually do understand why Judge posted as such. I disagree with it, but I understand it. While the chat is private, there's, as of current... 17 current or former CPM1 candidates in it, and we let Hans in there too. It's roughly considered "off the record", but it's all just been a positive chat about the CPM current and future, game mechanics, current and future, and random camaraderie.
We also have a Skype channel for getting people on the Biomassed podcast if either he or you are interested. Bit more open, tends to just be people's AFKs and such which aren't stated in voice on the cast.

I feel confident the content and conduct of the channel is whiter than white. I think you'd see logs to the contrary if it wasn't, and I wouldn't be involved with it if it wasn't. This truly is just "I don't know some of the candidates very well, and I'd like to know them better" at it's heart.
I'm kind of confused as to your perspective on this, but I'm intrigued. Do you mind if I ask a question or two?
Do you feel comfortable with a candidate speaking to any other candidate at all outside of a public forum post? Do you feel candidates should refrain from communicating off of the DUST forums at all during the election season?

Tesfa, if you read the first post in this thread (quoted below), this thread was explicitly made to find candidates such as yourself so we can get you in ASAP. If you look back historically, generally someone asks for their Skype shortly after they announce, things got a little hectic with the official stuff from CCP, and I think we missed at least a few, hence my creation of this thread.

Yeah, I mean, I'm really kinda baffled where this conversation is going, to be really honest. I'm very mystified where people assume every conversation between future CPM members should be public, when a large part of the purpose of the CPM is so CCP can talk to players who are bound by the NDA, and can't talk about things with everyone else. That's like... part of the job description.
Then, I start to get the impression that some people in this forum post assume everything I say must be in public? I mean, I discuss Planetary Conquest matches with my alliance members in private. Are you guys worried because that's a private conversation with certain DUST players, are you aren't invited to participate?
What exactly is your expectation of the CPM? And is it something you feel is reasonable for the job in question? I intend to tell the public everything I possibly can about my CPM term, and keep them informed, but I don't think any CPM candidates are expected to give up their ability to speak privately ever either.

Actually, as the case is, the only non-candidates are Hans himself, and candidates who have since withdrawn their candidacy, because we did not boot them out of it.
