I dont see how its influencing the votes, considering that you can only vote for candidates and every single candidate has been invited into the chat

They'll burn themselves out as long as you don't feed into it. Just saying, CCP ain't dumb, if they sense that the election is getting rigged they'll intervene - they reserve the right to veto as they please, we know this much already. So a bunch of propaganda and fear mongering isn't going to matter, it's just showing the rest of the community how a person is going to act when and if they're going to be part of the CPM. There's the "Elitist" attitude right there, the CPM isn't above the community, it's for the community The channel in-game is public access and we have non-candidates in the skype channel. There are a -lot- of players in this channel, however, and keeping it restricted to a candidates and their invitations keeps it both focused, as well as prevents unnecessary / unrelated chatter. I log into the CPM1 Candidates channel every time I'm online which is alot and this is a good place to see how often the CPM1 hopefuls are online/play, the fact that you "have" people in this channel already that aren't CPM candidates is good to a degree however the "restricted" nature doesn't leave alot to transparency of the current CPM1 candidates in this channel, your want to keep it focused is admirable however the defence for this reason alone isn't enough. I almost feel like you need a governing body already. Lol, this whole thing has been blown waaay out of proportion straight into crazy conspiracy theory territory. Going to need Snopes to debunk all this by the end of the night. Listen, It's not my channel - I've advocated since the beginning of my campaign that anyone who wants to speak with me is more than welcome to bring their concerns to me in any way they see fit, whether it be on the forums, skype, e-mail, twitter, what have you... But it's common courtesy not to invite someone when you yourself are a guest. If you -really- want in on the channel, I'd suggest speaking to The Black Jackal as he is who invited me. I don't know who owns the channel, I don't know who's an admin - never really cared because this is just one of those things that isn't a problem until someone conjures up a reason for it to be a problem. As far as anyone should be concerned, the CPM1 Candidates are -still just players- and will -continue to be just players- until elected -by the other players-. There is no secret discussion going on, there isn't any grand scheme, master plans, evil plots, or anything of or relating to the words "secret" going on at all. It's just a place that we can go to relax and get away from the public every once in a while and talk amongst friends, which we have done -solely- because we have a common interest. We now have a public channel, which doesn't bother me, except for the fact that people are -still- being melodramatic about all of this when it is LITERALLY like every other Skype channel about Dust 514, just focused on a topic that isn't related to anything in-game. Just saying, if you have a problem with transparency now, wait until seven of those candidates actually get elected and have to go behind closed doors to have their discussions -anyway- because of an NDA agreement.
