Just read back through this and was a bit surprised at the turn of the conversation.
i'm not a candidate, simply an interested observer, and I for one would like the opportunity to meet and engage those that are prospective representatives of the community. I've found that I have shifted my thoughts on a few candidates based on positive interactions outside the forums.
The communication means that I think other folks have engaged you on are simply locations where not just other candidates can chat with you but members of the community can as well. I think you would agree that something like Skype or in-game channels are a much more free flowing and dynamic than forum posting.
For a candidate I view as an articulate poster / media maker it struck me that you only wanted to engage folks on your terms...that concerns me a little as a member of the community.
To be clear, I'm not advocating for you to engage with people in a way that you don't feel is productive. I was a bit surprised at the tone of your responses - aloof and combative. I also fully acknowledge that some of the counter posts were a little sharp.

Judge,
Aside from the friction in the thread above I do want to pose some basic questions that i have engaged other candidates with.
Specific to you, many folks know you from your videos and excellent "dropshippery" as one of my friends put it. What other aspects of the game play have you delved into with that level of depth that might surprise folks? Also, would you mind telling folks a little about yourself (education, time available, ext) that will help folks get to know you a little.
I've modified my normal candidate questions to account for both Dust and Legion:
1) Other than the forums how do you intend to collect and communicate requests, needs, POV of the community? In particular, those outside your corp / alliance.
2) What level of interaction would you like to establish between the CPM and CSM? What areas are critical for you to work together on going forward.
3) What are the top 3 Dust related changes you would encourage CCP to make for the current player base in the next few months. I'm looking for concrete examples that are realistic to achieve.
4) What aspect or features in Legion that you've heard of are you most interested in working on? What features discussed so far are you most concerned about and why? (Note: my assumption is that there will be limited initial engagement in Legion as per CCP note but will likely have increased interaction as Legion development and the relationship between CCP and CPM1 grows.)
5) In Spring of 2015, when CPM1's term is up, what would you want people to have said about your tenure as a CPM member?

That kind of comment is actually what could be perceived as irritating. To me it implies you are suspect of or devalue the exchanges that have been going on for the last few months.

Would you be interested / available to come on the Biomassed Podcast to chat about how you think you can help the CPM, community, and CCP as we move forward?
Despite the bit of friction in the thread so far you are a well known and respected community member that has helped quite a few folks (including me btw) with your videos and I think folks would like to hear from you.
