I like the dispersion, but i still have the ability to slaughter infantry. An unexpected consequense is that it is is impossible to hit proximity mines even after i've detected them on the road. I'll have to fit a small missile turret just for anti mine work.
AV guys mine the crap out of roads, blasters can't hit them anymore.

In the match where i encountered the mines, i'd have to say yes. The road was heavily mined, so i tried spray and pray and i tried pulse firing,, it was a friendly ADS with missiles who cleared the road. I will try testing it a bit more for confirmation.

Which is good. Before, they were a joke because you could easily see them coming and destroy them with ease; which made them practically useless for area denial (the only thing they can be used for). Now, they actually have the ability to deny a HAV Pilot access to an area. But if they're that much of a problem, jump out in use a Flux Grenade. It only takes 1-2s to do so anyways.
I disagree with you on the point that every things needs a counter. In my tanking experience they only way to catch mines before you hit them is go slow and visually (audibly) scan the road (tough to do in combat) or to use a active vehicle scanner. The scanner is not practical on a shield tank so its only right that you have an audible warning as well. Usually the audio warning is too late, the beeping sound merely an intro to my exploding hull. These days, my biggest clue that the road ahead is mined is looking at a logi standing right by the road, or a known bottleneck and trying to bait me with a light weapon.
So if i do manage to stop in time (tanks don't stop on a dime) and catch the mines, well its stationary equipment so of course it will be easy to destroy them. Just like if the infantry sees a red remote explosive, its not difficult to destroy them after they've been detected at all.
And finally, the goldern rule of tanking is NEVER LEAVE YOUR TANK.

Yesterday i mentioned not hitting proximity mines, last night i didn't encounter any but I managed to kill uplinks with my blaster cannon. Just have to tap the R1 ever so quickly.
