I have an Idea about removing lockdown on districts. Have aura hire other mercs for you. How this works: Legion goes to the 'other' contracts and receives a list of corporations hiring for PC. Each of these has an entiry cost that can be set by the corporation. Should you lose, or not be online at the time of battle, the funds will be deposited into the corp wallet and not refunded. This cost is to prevent mercs from going into a PC and AFKing. If the group wins, then they get their security fund back, along with payments, also set by the corporation. If aura cannot find more than 10 mercs for each side, or the sides are severely unbalanced, the battle will be pushed 10mins at a time. If nobody volunteers, all the attackers clones are killed, and not refunded.
This would add great amounts of risk vs reward to legion. Thoughts welcome.

Excellent idea, but there feels like several core things need to be worked out or considered. -Corporations should be able to retain the right to reject players who accept contracts. -Rejected contracts should refund the original player, not the corporation. -Players accepting contracts should have the option to share their employment history and character details {either parts of or in full)

Bolded portion should be mandatory, not optional.

We already have chat channels for this and most corps have go to players to call in as ringers. For me ringing is an example of emergent gameplay that shouldn't be artificially grafted onto the game itself. I can't see any self respecting corporation going to a list of randoms for their PC when they could just go to a dedicated chat channel and choose from who's on. The notion of an entry cost goes against every fiber of a New Eden where players negotiate their own contracts and are free to defraud anyone who can be talked into making a **** deal.
If you don't have enough people on either side, then those corporations shouldn't be in PC. The match should just be cancelled and all members of both corporations and their alts should be permabanned from Legion.
jk. But seriously PC is concrete. You either have enough people on to win or you lose. End of story. PC isnt supposed to be a random thing, it's the most coordinated gamemode in dust and the regardless whether this is implemented or not I guarantee you that the FC's using players they know from chat channels they set up will win every time against FC's who rely on this feature.
This concept doesn't add anything to risk versus reward, it's just something noobs would use to try to fill a PC and then whine about the effectiveness of on the forums when they get beaten by teams that have their **** together. If anything it kills risk vs. reward because you it gives you mercs you know you can rely on to take the game seriously when more emergent forms of the same concept have huge risks for using players who aren't guaranteed not to awox you but whom you can vet yourself more thoroughly.

This is something I have long considered and suggested.
Rather than Aura hiring mercenaries I feel that players should hold a Mercenary Profile on Tact-Net that they can use to find contracts, and consequently Contractors can used to find Mercenaries.
This means players actively open up their profile or aspects of their profile to the wider community who then can hire and rate the mercenaries performance in combat. That way in future players can establish pricing tiers for the various rankings of mercenary who are looking for contracts.
E.G- True Adamance opens a Tac-Net profile and is hired by Corp X. He is successful in the two battles he fights and is rated B for his battles. Corp Y opens up some and True joins those by fails abysmally and receives D rankings lowering his overall status.
By the end of this True is ranked C-. He is likely to be paid less for his work unless he can boost his ratings.

This would add great amounts of risk vs reward to legion. Thoughts welcome. Yes Public Contracts should be an option, but you should also be able to make a contract with a specific Corporation or Alliance, and the same role based entry restrictions would apply to these battles as applies to a PC match for that Corp. (Need Terrestrial Combat Officers.)
This would mean that you could hire a top quality Mercenary Corp with a good reputation rather than just taking whoever wandered in off the street as with a Public contract.

For example; the entry cost for PC A is 10,000,000 ISK. Twelve people join, totaling 120,000,000 ISK. The said team in this PC looses and now the hiring corp is 120m isk richer.

The simply fix for this is you are only paid a deposit out of the hiring fee, the rest only being delivered upon successful completion of the contract.
Thus the contractors risks are mitigated in the face of a loss, but he is still charged for the mercenaries services, and the mercenaries risk their assets on the high pay out.

could work. depends on how much of the PC inflation makes it over to legion. would also like to see a variation that allows members from the alliance to join with controls similar to how the squad finder works. private invite only to battle, corp anyone in corp can join , alliance only alliance members can join, public only merc of (a) status rating can join @ this rate + this % for victory on the contract.
