It's bloody ridiculous a scout can spend next to no ISK, PG/CPU, and requires NO skill to INSTAKILL PROTO HEAVIES.
My suit cost way more than his. He shouldn't be able to be 100% effective at the proto level with basic remotes.
Solution:
Have the basic and advanced remotes do about as much damage as a Forge Gun of the same tier.
That way the skillless bastards won't have an I-Win-Button against proto heavies that costs them next to nothing to use.
Maybe it will kill a proto Minmatar heavy. Screw them, that's what they get for trading HP for speed on a Sentinel suit. But don't allow it to be COMPLETELY unfair to Proto Heavies who invested a lot of skill.

You obviously haven't used remotes, they're actually heavy on cpu and pg. But your probably right on the isk, my suits are only advance with enhanced mods and weapons on it.
Its alright everyone, no need to worry it's just an Amarr scout :(

As both a proto sentinel and proto scout (and have been since long before 1.8) your claims ring false. Though the issue of being able to throw them is a legit problem, they took away the dead trigger (I think, I never used it). I'll post here what I posted in the other thread you claimed RE's insta-kill proto sentinels.

get good then. cause as of right now the turn radius of a heavy with stacked hp is the same as a scout with none if you do it correctly, either give up the heavy and deal with it or quit the game. tired of freaking heavies complaining about scouts, us scouts are 10x more afraid of heavies cause of OP freaken hmg, with a 2400 rpm and 4600 rpm most dps in game, shut the hell up with your complaints, cause you just want nothing more then to be a god in a heavy frame which is already the other op flavor of the month besides scouts. think before you speak sir, you look like an idiot. re's are fine the way they are, if you cant respond to the noise of an unlcoak, and then deploy of re, and then detonate you just suck if it happens 100% of the time.heres my qq, nerf heavies, theres nothing in game that can take them down solo besides scouts with re and people wanna spam 8 proto heavies in one area. 8 shots to take down a proto gal hvy 7 to take amarr, both of which if you have maxed skills and all armor stacked can with stand an re noob.

o and heavy takes no damn skill . god people are stupid. really stack 1500+ hp, throw on a weapon with a huge hit area that lites up red on cloacks, and insta melts scouts with no problem, plus heavies have resistance. but yes scout re takes no skill and heavy does lmao. idiot, i have to watch my mini map the entire time moving when appropriate, and they fixed it if u kill me within a second of deploying the re i cant trigger it u live i die instead of both, your QQ is invalid, they already nerfed the L1 trigger spam, re is not as easy as it look just people like me have been doing it for over a year, a noob tries it n gets killed.not to mention your squad and team should have ur back . so maybe look at making a more op squad. and not be a scrub.

This may work against stupid or distracted heavies but you would be surprised how often said heavy just turns around and kills you. Even if you manage to plant the remote you can't detonate them immediately there is always a small delay...and a planting noise...
And don't tell the HMG requires much skill to use... |

There are heavies everywhere, as a scout with minimal hitpoints its a smart move to drop RE`s at the pre-occupied heavies feet and blow him the hell up.
Im up for reducing standard RE damage as long as you up Adv. and Proto dmg / blast radius.
Otherwise this just sounds like heavies bitching about anything that kills them as per usual. |

they just need a 10 second timer for basic, 8 for adv, 6 for proto. (meaning that from the time the remote is thrown, it cannot be activated for "x" amount of time)

no, what the need is that i can carry the same amount of remotes as i can place. For example the proto re's allow up to 7 placed at a time but i can only carry 4. Which means that i would need a nanohive to get the other 3. |

Love that saying... Re's don't arm for about 2 seconds ( seems like an eternity when your logi suddenly rounds a corner re in hand and you see 5 protos rushing with six kins )you and you can't cook them like a grenade.

I have both level 5 Caldari and Minmatar Sentinels. My thoughts on the subject:
If a scout runs up behind me, and manages to blow me up with an RE, I've only got myself to blame. However, if people are dropping REs from high places down on top of me... well, that is rather lame. If a scout sets up an RE trap and lures me in, then I've only got myself to blame. And if people chuck REs at me like grenades, then I've to blame the shoddy mechanics from a broken game.
With that being said, if I notice an RE, odds are I will survive, as: high mobility + sentinel resistance + situational awareness = 3(odds of survival)
Sentinels have an Achilles heel. And with good gameplay practices and that nice passive resistance, you can diminish the odds that your Achilles heel will cripple you. But that takes work.
