They made sure that it failed on PS3 so that CCP would be forced back onto PC where they, and their master-race-minded cronies, would be able to compete in a game based on their personal preferences as opposed to dust's current attempt at consoles. Note: Yeah, I personally blame them all for ruining any chance this game had to be fun for many, because the meta was more important than the actual long-term viability of the game itself. EDIT / P.S.-if you don't believe me, just look back at what the main leaders behind the DNS Donut did, where they are now, and who they brag about being a part of (while hiding that fact until the game ended) and how joyous at the Legion turn-of-events.
Want some of the donut? (munch) Its cheeto flavored with mountain dew flavored icing. Thanks to our manipulating, I am currently sitting on one hell of a nest egg

Troll. No, I'm actually curious! If I wanted to troll, I'd say I've ~always~ been in AE. because, you know, I joined them in November last year. I've been there all along. I answered your question... what do goonfeet do? Goon feet troll people.
I take offense to your senseless acquisitions.

45 mil ISK clone pack is ********.
Reading some of the responses from people here makes my brain hurt. People just don't seem to have a solid grasp on incentives and risk/reward. CCP dropped the ball by not having some other form of Team Deploy. It stacked the odds from the onset in the favor of those that had participated in corp battles in beta. That on top of an SP and an experience gap. Fast forward a year and you have a gamemode that is(was) dominated by a ridiculously small amount of players.
I discuss this stuff with Zatara on Skype. It's like some people are just plain delusional about the state of PC and the participation levels. We were having a long argument about how many corps and players have pulled out of PC. Zatara didn't think that was the case. I'm not sure how he could think that, but it seems many other dudes from elite corps have this opinion.
PC has hurt Dust from a veteran retention standpoint more than any other thing in my opinion. And we have people in here that want the ******* clone pack price to be more than 45 million???? When a lot of known corps have 3 to 5 people on at a time we want people to do BPO 100% tax weekends.
I'm a bit doped up on my pain meds at the moment so I am rambling a bit. But is it just me or are some people just completely delusional about the state of the game and what is needed to create interest in PC (or as I like to refer, our only avenue for team deploy).
So you're saying I should buy the 225k aur w/ 7 day active omega booster?

Its not about prioritizing game modes. The concept is exceedingly simple to understand: PC passive ISK was supposed to be used to bankroll PC warfare; Conquests, defenses, and reimbursing your mercenaries for their losses. Instead, corps agreed to not fight eachother just to hold land . They refused to play so they could use the PC ISK like a welfare check to finance other endeavors. Since PC ISK was not being used to finance PC, its being removed. Thats not my fault. Blame those who colluded to not fight and just collect passive ISK. What was stopping your from attacking one of the 244 Online districts? What was stoping every single player in every single corporation in the game who was not in DNS from forming a huge alliance, working together and forming a 16man super team to smack all other teams asses. Let me answer that for you. Lazyness. None of you wanted to put the effort forward to form that team. It would have taken you lots of time and effort. Pride stopped you, lazyness stopped you. None of our teams in DNS could have stopped you. You out numbered us 10 to 1. Owning districts took time and planning. Strategy and strength. Removing the reward from the game, removes the competiveness out of the game. Congrats. Own your 1-3 districts..sit on them. Make NOTHING. No show battles you know your going to lose, and the attacker gets NO isk. They get land...yay. Heaven forbid people respond to incentives and try to maximize their enjoyment in limited play time. Don't they know we're all supposed to wear hair shirts and flagellate ourselves in the name of e-bushido. Games should be competitive and dynamic because they're fun to engage in. With a low barrier to entry and a deep and complex strategic element that rewards mastery without squashing the development of new talent.
For the pubbies sake TL;DR: change is good, you is bad.
But seriously a game like dust (cough...legion...cough) needs a barrier to entry but more balanced than we have seen in the past. Having a district and flipping a district with the new numbers does have an advantage (think really hard).

They're hard to find unless in the fall season. But... They... are... Amazing. Granny Smiths are honestly, to me, a desperate fallback incase I can't get a Honeycrisp or Fuji. They're also good for cooking, but who doesn't know that.

Agreeing not to fight had nothing to do with passive isk and everything to do with the fact we were all tired of fighting the same group of people day in and day out for months. The inactive, inadequate and scrubby players are entirely to blame for the state of things. They failed to create content.
DAMN YOU POOR STUPID PEOPLE ITS YOUR FAULT FOR OUR SUFFERING!!! (Its creepy how this idea is propagated so easily in the right wing and relevant to the ongoing political and socioeconomical environment in the US)

The irony is staggering. So you guys locked districts and farmed ISK to pubstomp because there wasnt enough of a turn over of competitive players.... ...Meanwhile, new players were getting stomped and decided to give up on the game, significantly hurting player retention and ensuring that the top tier of the playerbase would remain stagnant. Therefore ensuring that the future generation of competitive players would be sparse. You keep trying to put the problem on everyone else. But each time, it leads right back to where I said it did. Just own up and take responsibility for what you guys collectively did; You took advantage of something to the point that you forced CCPs hand into acting. Dont blame new players who you didnt give time and space to build themselves up, dont blame people who protested the unsustainable status quo, dont blame CCP. Blame those whos actions brought us here today. Blame those who created a problem that needed solving. lionshead nebula wrote: DAMN YOU POOR STUPID PEOPLE ITS YOUR FAULT FOR OUR SUFFERING!!! In all fairness, the U.S. political spectrum is so charged and polarized these days that both sides are host to completely unreasonable rhetoric and ideology. When i say "sense of entitlement", and "welfare check", I dont mean to target anyone of any political learning specifically, as both sides are guilty of it. The "left wing" wants free stuff for the poor as their "entitlements", and the right wing wants obscene, useless procurement contracts and other big government projects to go to their districts as "entitlements". Whether we are talking about giving a $100 of food stamps to someone who doesnt need them, or building 100s of tanks we never asked for, its abuse of tax money that some people feel they are entitled to. But im preaching to the choir here. Youre a Goon. From what Im told you guys are good at economics.
I was only making a point to show how **** bleeds through and permeates everything, not passing judgement. Both sides have problems with their policies and I have problems with both sides, being bought and paid for by conglomerates.
Spot on breakdown of how blueing up negatively impacted the game as a whole.

I'd take a massive dump on your whiny new incompetent players either way. So this changed nothing, except when I decide to run cheap it's impossible for them to kill anything actually worth something.

You say that, but the inability to read into sentences leaves you lacking perspective, if you had asked, I would have said that my signature is that way because of the Legion announcement and how it made me feel. If you had asked I would have said, my previous post was posted as such because i wasn't trolling, I was straight up calling you on your BS. As it wasn't breaking of doctrine, your last sentence is wholly inaccurate. Woooow. You're going to die alone and miss everything fun and cool in life. No other player owes you a damn thing. People don't play a game just so you can have the privilege of triumphing over them. Nothing is owed to you at all. If anything it's in the self interest of CCP to develop a game space that fosters meaningful and lasting competition; so that people willingly want to participate. Instead of blaming other players with such vitriol, why don't you join the voices of the community in providing constructive and useful feedback to the developers? Because it's too hard for some to come up with meaningful, constructive, cogent arguments as well as potential solutions. Nope. Too hard. It's far more easier to blame others. Hmmmm, I have to accept Himi as my home boy. Therefore, I must find a way to deter the swarm of goons upon his person. But how to do such an act..... Hmmmm....... I know!!! Bad Rap scares everyone!!
