These are bad changes.
There is reason to fight, but there is no reason to hold land. To deny someone income, now all one needs to do is deny them fights. The land they hold is worthless.
If someone wanted to bleed out Nyain San all they would have to do is force them to play hard in pubs all day, and they would eventually start operating at a loss. That's a ridiculous system for someone who owns a massive chunk of land to gain zero benefit from it. |

You generate more clones for free and with that you can launch more attacks on hostile districts. The change is there to encourage fighting. On the plus side even if one alliance has all districts they have to fight each other to generate ISK. This could either mean that large groups dont take over all of the districts or they fight each other for fun in starter fits/BPO's.
That is a stupid system and makes zero economical sense....
This is the product of a whiny fanbase that can't handle the consequences of losing. |

Bore people enough to death and it doesn't matter if one side has 100% or 0%, and it won't matter if its passive income or active income...
What you're getting now is a bad system and it won't last very long. |

I'm aware that by being forced to move over to goons officially you have to try to pass everything off as a giant plot in order to save face for your previous failures. Really, I get that aspect of the meta and how it's important to you. But let's drop the act for a moment, I don't really care about your plans, Zatara's plans, Kujo's plans, or anyone's. You're basically all a bunch of kids trying to play James Bond over the internet, and when something doesn't go according to plan you try to pretend it did. It's not just you, all of you guys do it. It's as funny as it is incompetent. Dust meta is most comparable to a bunch of slutty girls smoking in the bathroom talking trash about the other girls at school.
But seriously, you haven't actually accomplished anything here. Dust is done and this is the kind of thing a lot of bad players have been whining for, long before MH got to any kind of crazy ownership levels. Terrible players have always resented those who have territory and have actively advocated for them to receive nerfs of all types. Nerfs to "passive" income, nerfs to proto equipment, nerfs to attack vehicles, whatever favors the successful people.
This kind of poor design was long in the works and it didn't matter what happened with molden heath. It will come, people will see it is stupid, and it will be changed. |

Kain Spero wrote:I'm sorry your vision is so narrow you can't see how to make ISK in the new environment. Heck I know even Zatara has some pretty creative plans to continue to make ISK. Players will find a way and passive ISK will be put to bed. Also, not really "moving over to goons" since I've been there all along. Fact is that Roman, Espeon, and the other leaders deserve their time to run things. What happens to ERA is up to them and it's extremely clear. Again, getting rid of passive ISK was the plan all along. Just needed a bit more firepower to lay the groundwork for a convincing argument and bluing up all of the best players in the game did the trick. Everyone was so willing to suck at the teat of passive ISK they were willing to do anything to protect it. Even destroy all of PC and everyone's access to it in the process while allying with people that they hated.
You do realize I don't even play the game anymore, right?
Making isk isn't exactly a priority if I'm not playing. I'm just commenting on how stupid the game has become. If this is the way you actually wanted the game for whatever reason then good for you, but like I said it won't last. Your idea on what works as a valid gameplay mechanic is basically terrible and will be overruled in time. |

I suppose now is a bad time to mention I've been a Goon longer than most of the Goons in this thread? |

No, this is the product of Nyain San using PC funding to wage war against militia players in pubs. They made a PC problem into everyones problem. They weren't the only ones doing it, but they did it the most. You are acting like this is a case of someone losing a PC fight and not being happy about it cause they didn't get to collect the reward. Thats not the case at all. CCP is not making the game "boring". They are just ending a massive entitlement and subsidies program that a handful of players were using to negatively impact the game. In an earlier post you said "Well now all someone has to do to bleed out Nyain San is run them down in pubs". Good! The cost of the proto equipment is part of balancing. Its high costs is supposed to limit how often a player will choose to lose it, lest they cross into the red ink. So now Nyain will have their entitlements tap turned off and will have to compete on their own merit. if they are good players this wont be a problem for them. Cutting off the CCP issued ISK welfare check should make things much more interesting all around.
You just made pubs more relevant than PC.
Do you have any idea how backwards that is? |

Its not about prioritizing game modes. The concept is exceedingly simple to understand: PC passive ISK was supposed to be used to bankroll PC warfare; Conquests, defenses, and reimbursing your mercenaries for their losses. Instead, corps agreed to not fight eachother just to hold land . They refused to play so they could use the PC ISK like a welfare check to finance other endeavors. Since PC ISK was not being used to finance PC, its being removed. Thats not my fault. Blame those who colluded to not fight and just collect passive ISK.
You're being silly. Agreeing not to fight had nothing to do with passive isk and everything to do with the fact we were all tired of fighting the same group of people day in and day out for months.
The inactive, inadequate and scrubby players are entirely to blame for the state of things. They failed to create content. |

Prove it.
Show me the exact relationship and how it is the key issue surrounding player retention. And I'm not talking about bogus political theories, I want actual proof.
And tbh, it wouldn't matter if I was running proto, advanced, or standard. I'd take a massive dump on your whiny new incompetent players either way. So this changed nothing, except when I decide to run cheap it's impossible for them to kill anything actually worth something. |

They say when you get married you can either be happy, or you can be right.
I am not yet married, therefore I am making the most of the time god has granted me and enjoying both quite thoroughly. |

You say that, but the superiority complex your signature implies suggests to me there is a good amount of projection going on. The direct use of curse words in an insulting fashion also breaks A-typical Goon Troll Doctrine, which normally makes use of the original posters logic and turns it against them to make that person feel truly stupid.
The breaking of this doctrine suggests to me a heightened level of agitation and a low level of competence, which would make you a textbook case for the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

Tell me about your mother. You say that, but the inability to read into sentences leaves you lacking perspective, if you had asked, I would have said that my signature is that way because of the Legion announcement and how it made me feel. If you had asked I would have said, my previous post was posted as such because i wasn't trolling, I was straight up calling you on your BS. As it wasn't breaking of doctrine, your last sentence is wholly inaccurate. Either you jumped to conclusions or you designed your post entirely around a prefabricated idea of me and Dunning-Kruger Effect.
I see you are avoiding the subject of your mother.

I dont have Dev access to the numbers Dust generates. All I got is that out of 10 friends i referred, 0 are still playing, and all gave more or less the same reason as to why they abandoned Dust. You obviously have some kind of inferiority complex that is magnified by video game success, so you might not understand this, but its equally unfun to be on the side that is doing the stomping. People like a good game. Suppressing the enemy inside their red line makes for an boring match. When you are a new player, and every match is either "All the enemies are hiding from me in the MCC" or "im hiding from the enemies in the MCC", it makes playing futile and people just play other games. You may not realize this, but the FPS market is saturated. You dont give people a good reason to stay, they wont. Himiko Kuronaga wrote: I'd take a massive dump on your whiny new incompetent players
LOL You are into defecating on people? Thats a little extreme, I dont need to hear about that.
Your friends quit because the game sucks, not because people like me shat on them.
Were the game designed well, the match would have ended shortly after all points were capped. You can blame CCP for dragging it out. But don't blame people like me because I played correctly while your friends were having difficulty removing the controller from their mouth.
It's not as though I enjoy their presence anymore than they enjoy mine, but somehow their terrible neglect for common sense was not the driving factor behind my decision to play or quit the game. |
