I don't think I've ever seen a stance on this one way or the other from any CCP devs or CPM members. What do you have to say about switching passive SP from just one main character to all three characters getting passive SP at the same time? Passive SP limited to one character makes sense in a game like EVE where you charge a monthly fee, and they even now allow players to spend extra PLEX to get passive on multiple characters at once. Dust and Legion are free games, why allow three characters per account if only one can gain passive SP? How easy or hard would this be to change? It very much seems like something you could do durring the downtime.

I've created at least two other threads exactly like this, so either you pay horrible attention to the forums or you are lieing about NEVER hearing this idea before. I didnt think a passive SP boost would work on a character who isnt already getting passive SP, because it doesnt say that it does, it just says you get 1.5x the passive SP you are already getting, to me this means that if you are getting 0 passive SP on a character because you have another one getting passive, then the booster does nothing because 1.5x0=0. And why should 1 character get free passive SP when another one cant? Why allow people to use different PSN accounts to get recruiter gear without actually recruiting new people? They can also do this to get passive SP on 2 characters, but why even make us go through this loophole to begin with? All characters on an account should get passive SP for free on a free to play game, let us pay aurum to get a boost to passive SP if we want it.

Or would that be part of a client update too? So switching from just one character having passive SP to all characters having passive SP automatically without any boosters would be something that requires a client update is what I'm understanding from this? If thats so then I understand why this wont be happening.

What's the difference between changing, say, armor=180 to armor=240 (a server-side update to changing hp on a dropsuit) and changing setCharPassive=false (made-up boolean for allowing passive SP on characters) to setCharPassive=true? I'm actually genuinely curious now as to what exactly can be done server-side and what draws the fine line between server- and client-side updates. I'm starting to see why this would require a client update, because the user interface would need to be changed, they probably could put code server side that turned on passive sp for all of your characters, but then they'd need to remove the user interface options of being able to select which character gets passive sp.

Or: 1-make new FREE e-mail account 2-make new FREE dust514 account 3-Make new FREE dust514 char that will get passive sp for FREE We had passive sp on all chars in closed beta, why not now? You haven't been around for long enough if you never heard of this. Ccp likes to have a bajillion "fake" accounts so they can say tehy have a player population 3x the real one? Probably.
