Hello Zion!
Great read of the OP - really nice to see some drive and passion coming through for this process. I do have a couple of questions if you have the time to reply?
My first question was generated by reading your campaign policies and your very clear and straight approach to each one, most particularly was the discussion around your belief in the community and 'those who are active in community work' recieving tools and promotion from CCP et al in their efforts. Can you elaborate on what you believe will be the deliverables of such a task?
As a content producer for Dust 514 - i can myself confirm that CCP are not very helpful and engaging with those who help promote their game so i would be keen to know what actual outputs you foresee from such a great project.
my second question comes from the comment of 'player transfers' i think you are the first person to actually mention this in a campaign pitch so firstly, wanted to say thanks for that, secondly what do you feel CCP could have done better in their comms around this topic at fanfest?
Given the CPM0 were fully aware of the 'drama bomb' that was coming with fanfest, i found it very disappointing to see that their hands were fully tied with the NDA and in effect were unable to act in the communities best interests at all, rendering the process moot. What would you have done differently here given that communications and the fair transfer are key policies for your campaign?
Thanks for the replies!

Hi, Fascinating response, it does however give me some areas for concern:
Quote:Now 1st I would want to establish a Fansite kit/update for who want things such as images, icons and even music to build site for Dust/Legion.
This is already in existence and is obtainable from CCP - CCP Frame can help with this
Quote:So I will have a direct line for ALL content creators to pitch their projects to CCP or Myself
This is an interesting statement to me, would this mean that you would be in fact be potentially the default first port of call for all Dust 514 content creators? would this also mean that you would have a sign off authority for this? A direct line implies you would be the gate keeper for all 3rd party content, something im sure you would have to accept is not perhaps a role for the CPM?
As a content creator myself for the entire life of Dust 514 - i can say that CCP are terrible at acknowledging 3rd party content creators and the value they bring. My fear would be that if the CPM became part of the 'on boarding process' for this group, we would see even less activity than what we have so far. major concern for me.
Quote:Now hindsight is 20/20 and this situation should not arise again
Sorry to say but that is quote a concerning final statement you raise there - sure hindsight is 20/20 but it also is commonly used by far too many people to brush under the carpet mistakes and balls ups generally. CCP have made an industry of providing this game with terrible customer service and focus on what is actually the main criteria for them, us.
I think you have a great passion for the game, i would question your ability to be objective above your own interests slightly given you are obviously quite an entrepreneurial chap with great ideas but i would question that your focus and reason to run for CPM 1 is in the interests of the game, Dust 514, or really in the interests of the more important product to you, the product of brand 'Zion Shad'. |
