Your ideas for roles are quite odd or just downright aweful (EWAR medium suit? LOL), but the overall idea is good.

Well, calling them idiots is hardly a welcoming start wouldn't you say?
I call myself a idiot sometimes, so don't mind me calling people idiots. I wouldn't deal with bluedots anyways; if they wanna fight or ride with me, they better know how to play ball.

EDIT: This is pretty much the sight of how the ISIS and skill system would look (with T I suits added though). I can't draw and is horrible with putting pics together, so you doing this is a good thing. Yeah I needed to fill all roles to complete the UI. Some were thrown together at the last second. I'm sure smarter people than myself could come up with better roles to fill those boxes.
lol, I knew it. Just stamp st the top of it, as well as all over the OP that those are not actual concepts

And Tech III can be the crazy child that can't seem to fit in. Focus on a tree that expands regularly, not all at once.
This is an interesting suggestion, in other words, adding depth to the noob tree. One concern is what you would bonus a generic assault/logi/etc. for? Well from what I'm understanding, Assault Suits will have 2 light weapon slots in Legion, like a commando did. So you just give a simple generic bonus Assault: 50% Light Weapon Fitting Cost Logistics: 50% Equipment Fitting Cost allows those to parse up the tree, then you just let the layouts do the talking, no need to change any suit stats or anything yet, let the player get used to the role before you start adjusting the suits. When designing a skill tree you have to imagine that each node is a room, with each door on the room leading to a new one. If you give someone too many doors they will never bother going past that level. You need to guide someone through the tree BEFORE the ISIS overlay. Think about it with weapons.
