Ha! I'll give you a +1 for that, Buster. I'll always have to give you some respect for being Cassandra around here for so long, too.
Anyway, I will post constructively and then go on my merry way since you are doing a good job of not being a PC mastur race troll here. Just want to comment on 2 things you mentioned:
1) You can hook up a PC to the TV in your living room:
Technically I "can" but it's not practical, not only space-wise, but again it puts people in the position of spending more money on a dedicated gaming PC because that PC is not going to be particularly useful for anything else now. Especially when other people may occasionally want to use the TV, even more so in cases like mine where I pretty much need to sit my 2 young kids in front of Sesame Street if I want an hour of peace to get some work done!
2) You can use a game pad/controller on a PC
Again, yes, it is possible to do so. However, I will be hopelessly gimped against the KBM crowd using high performance macro-enabled mice. Not the even playing field I am looking for.

1) Being a father and a family man, it is much harder to justify spending that kind of money on a "gaming" PC but how would you justify the price point of a new console that goes for 400 dollars (if you are in the States) and 60 dollars a pop for games? And how do you even find the time to get your gaming on? 2) Fact is, you have people running around with KBM setups now in Dust so how is that any different?
- I play after everyone else goes to bed (sleep is for the weak), and only for an hour or 2 a day, and not every day. I'm not the hardcore gamer I used to be in my 20's. I spend more time with the kids than I do gaming, and they also very much enjoy the blu-ray player in the PS3.
- My kids are also pretty damn spoiled, I'm afraid. Money is not an issue for me, but it is for others. Many have already used up their gaming budget on a PS4, so a second investment in a PC is not an option. For me it's just money I could spend better on something else.
- KBM for Dust was a mistake and a concession to CCP's EVE playerbase. If you have been playing Dust or on the forums as long as I have you would know that KBM on Dust is hamstrung and not nearly the advantage it would be on a PC, though in beta it was apparently better. Never used it so I can only repeat what I've heard from others.

There are many ways to play PC from the comfort of your living room, KB/M or otherwise. This thread is intended to help those who would consider upgrading to PC if they had the necessary information to do so in an informed way. This thread is not about the console/PC war.
Lol, he started it!
Yes, I did say I was going to go on my merry way, but I'm not exactly going to let someone question my parenting. Anyway, the OP is correct and I am moving on.
