This is completely wrong.

Not only are there MANY more games available on PC, most of the games you can get on consoles are better on PC because of better graphics and modding - just to name a couple of completely objective differences.

It is, of course, possible to play PC games and have the same experience of consoles, but there is much more on offer.

this presupposes that graphics matter, and i think any hardcore gamer will agree that graphics only need to be acceptable. they never need to be mind-blowing, and if the graphics are too good, the game is usually bad.

i know very few people who play more than a game or two regularly. the online-only crowd is the type of crowd who is highly addiction-prone.

if a game needs to be modded, then it wasn't much of a game, now was it.

Yeah, yeah, I'm interjecting into a conversation but I can't help myself: Nobody said anything about games needing to be modded. As was stated, it is an advantage over consoles. Unless, of course, you don't like free content for great games, from the Elder Scrolls series, to Half Life and other Valve 'Source engine' games, to GTA.... and dozens of others. And that content (which again, is free) has the capacity to extend the life of games by over a DECADE. And now that I've gotten to think about it, I really should check out the state of some TES:Morrowind mods... Over a decade since it was released and professional quality mods are still being produced, bringing people back for more. Anyway, don't mind me. I'm mostly typing to myself.
