It could actually contribute to more feedback regarding good & bad game mechanics since players will try out new builds.

Erm no, then you'll just get half the people chasing the FOTM (bad) and the other half getting pissed off that they half to reassign all their SP for the 10th time (also bad). |

I agree, in the context that your choices matter. But they dont right now - We will get 'respecs' when moving to EVE: Legion due to the skill trees being completely different. Dust 514 will also never impact EVE in a significant way.
Use Dust 514 as an experimental platform, like Kain Spero suggests, to make Legion the best FPS ever.

The reasons why i dont want to see this happen is for the similar reasons why giving 255 million sp for everyone is bad ALSO the hassle of re skilling every month is terrible.

As system like that would be massively punishing for veterans who at that point might as well just train up the new tree instead.

Withholding respecs is pointless because we all know the inevitable conclusion of this beta. Respecs to test issues is pointless because CCP is no longer concerned with Dust. There are no longer any good arguments for either side.

im fairly certian thatonce you reach a certian amount of sp 45-60 mil is and higher respecing wont really matter much at all and would probly be more trouble than its worth , and if you abuse the system you risk loosing some sp, its notlikeyou cant loose ur sp in eve either all you hard work in sp gone in one instant if the wrong unplaned decision is made |

If you have no intention of playing Legion, really none at all.
But for those of us who will play Legion? Having that SP transfer over will be a nice head start.

Honestly I'd be of the camp of, "Have to reassign my SP AGAIN!?...." because I like where my SP is already. I can see the merits of frequent respecs, but not THAT frequent, even if Dusts days ARE numbered. Assuming they will do updates I think then is the better point to have respecs. |

Im not really a fan of respecs but I understand the community's desire. EVE *sorta* has something like a respec and your character starts off with 2 of them, but after that you only get a new one every 12 months. I think if they wanted to implement some sort of respec system (details pending), it should be an optional respec that happens on a very long time cycle.
Like my ideas?

because dust was abandoned by ccp so, there is no point. no role matters, and shotgun scouts make everything pointless

Taken in isolation that may be true however when you factor in their other statements such as leaving Dust with only bug fixes and a bit of balancing left in its future and the fact that most of the development team has been moved out of Dust to either Eve or Legion does suggest a limited lifespan.
