The Dust Bunnies thing was given to us as a derogatory name by EVE Capsuleers as slang. Dust Bunnies referring to the bundles of dust you find on your ceiling fan or places of that nature.
It's simple.
We just find a derogatory name for them....
What do we know about capsuleers?
1) They are stuck in a sterile field because of fear for contamination, ergo they are stuck in their ship or in their Captains Quarters.
2) They travel in little eggs that fit inside larger ships.
3) They show no signs of physical expertise or prowess.
4) We don't even know if they know how to shoot a gun, or which end shoots the gun... But they do know how to operate turrets.
I wanna call'em Eggheads. Or Eggs. What's a word for someone who is frail and cannot connect with the outside world for fear of germs from a skid on a knee?
EVE players? Good at Dust?! Let the indiscriminate slaughter of PC huggers begin >:)

Whereas we, we fight on the ground. We experience more death than they do usually in a month. We bleed, our bones are shattered, our cries heard throughout the battlefield, We decorate or tanks with the entrails of the fallen. Shrapnel is the rain in which we bathe with the ringing of gunfire all around us and the haze of battle clouds our vision, yet we press on. Unafraid of death. We experience it every day, moreso than those ... Carebears do...
That's what they are... Carebears. They call people who hang out in Empire space since they are afraid to PvP... Well. I think, all EVE capsuleers are carebears since they are afraid to get their hands dirty on the battlefield. They'd rather stay safe in their large ships tucked away in their small eggs that will transmit their consciousness at the first sign of a hullbreach in their egg.
First sign of trouble? They reclone.
Our first sign of trouble? We open fire.
Thus I dub Eve Capsuleers, Carebears.

Since we represent the death and rebirth of our immortal cloning technology. I move to have us be known as 'Immortals' Unafraid of death. Whereas you'll see ships flee away at the first sign of trouble
