Most games do not even do this. They are released in one, final, complete package that never gets updated or completely revamped like Dust's patches did.
To me it sounds like this is the only reason you invested time into this game. Why? It was never promised to you upon downloading it.
So you're telling me that you never want to be that OP Combat Rifle using brick tanked Scout you loved so much anymore, just because they're not updating the game anymore?
You got what you wanted. You earned skill points and you invested them. In fact the game is still running and you can still use your character the way you always intended to.
WHY IS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL? Do you invest your time and money into things with unrealistic expectations often? Sure sounds like you all do.
