My laptop is
Quad core i5 8gb RAM 1tb Windows 8 Dx11
Will need a k/b and mouse but might just get a PC as I'm a bit worried the grfx card won't be good enough.
Well that was fun

I said old school, not lobotomised.,
So basically there's nothing special about it then?, it just costs more?.
Well that was fun

It is not all roses though, as it requires the developer to optimize the software for multicore processors to see the benefits of it. (this is what I remember from school anyway)
Thank you, I'd rather a human tell me then Google.

Keep in mind Legion is also still a prototype, and hasn't been green lit yet. If you're planning to buy a computer anyway and want to make it a little better, that's fine, but if you weren't planning to other wise, it might be wise to hold off a bit longer so we know if it gets green lit, and what type of minimum and recommended specifications we'll have.
But as someone else mentioned, you will need DirectX 11. Considering DX11 was released 2009, I don't think anyone need to freak out that a computer that they build today should worry about not being able to run it.
I know that I am able to play ps2 with decent settings although I'm waiting for that on ps4 (majorly regret buying).
It seems ps2 (being a mindless cluster of ****) should have been made on console and dust (striving to be more than a generic run and gun special case fps) should have gone PC, both made by companies involved with each other.
Its like they are swapping to go home.

Its like they are swapping to go home. More so that the Forgelight Engine that SOE uses for Planetside 2 is an incredibly unoptimized mess. Planetside 2 has the scale and scope of what Dust\Legion should be like, but it has its own share of issues like three factions that has different approach to weapons and vehicles that causes a disparity. I have had fun in Planetside 2 but having a faction that aren't affected by bullet drop and recoil and that everyone plays because it is "easy mode" turns some battles into colossal zerg fests so I doubt that PS2 will find a audience on PS4, if I am brutally honest.
Yeah, that's all I'm expecting out of ps2, a couple of months fun if that.
