Check out kickstarter sometime if you enjoy paying for some future. You paid for vitual goods which you've had delivered, nothing else. |

You bought aurum and boosters cause you were probably too impatient to wait for the f2p advancements. Whatever your reasonings are for making the transaction is your own choice, you still got served what you paid for. |

No, it isn't. You bought the boosters because they give you an in-game advantage. They still do. They will continue to do so until the game shutters.
What does this have to do with anything I said?
Everything, just because you have your expectations and make assumptions, that does not make them true. Reality is that you bought some virtual goods and those are delivered and working as promised (you saved yourself time).
Why is it so hard to understand that you just bought a (virtual) product and not invested in future development. Whatever a company does with the income they make is up to them, they could have bought a private jet for themselves if they wanted too. You buying a product from a company does not entitle you anything else besides that product, virtual or not.
As far as the refunds go from Sony, that is their default practice as a reseller to keep you as a customer while they deal with the supplier, just like most other payment service do.

Company A has started to even file for bankruptcy but at this point nothing has been cemented yet. Company A then starts a big sale of gift cards offering all gift cards at half their face value. Consumers buy these gift cards because it is a great deal and they have no idea the company has started the process to file bankruptcy. One week later the court approves said bankruptcy and the gift cards are now not even worth the plastic they are printed on. That is how many players in dust feel because of how this was handled. If Company A had advertized the gift cards as a going out of business sale reaction would be greatly different. So would the playerbases reaction. While I can understand the gut-feelings being displayed as I was initially disspointed too seeing the presentations, I do not agree that example is a good comparison since company A is not going anywhere anytime soon, your gift-cards are still as viable as they were yesterday. The only thing that has changed are our expectations. Or to stay with your example about company A, they are not bankrupt but only announced that they are not going to make any new products, so you can only use your gift-cards on the products they already have in their assortment. Sadly we have to accept that we can only blame ourself for assuming that our gift-card would grant us access to any possible upcomming products, 'assumptions are the mother of all screwups', or so I'm being told.
