But spending on Aurum and packs over the last two years: 1245,- euro (1734,- dollars)
EVE over the last 8 years: probably a hole lot more
So you see whining about 20 bucks is for *****'s Hey, you, prick who doesn't value money. Not all of us are rich. You have no right to decide what we hold as valuable or not.
PoP SoTa it is not so much as deciding what is valuable as it is more of a way of saying, yes you suffered, but there are people that suffered a hole lot more. And it is also not that i am rich, more that i work 40 hours a week by a ****** boss and then spend my money on whatever i like.
But the point is, we all willingly spend our money on this game to get something out of it, an advantage of some sorts, for me aur gear. Nobody forced any of us and i don't regret any of it. CCP delivers a product and simply says; you don't have to, but to help us further we need income and aur/booster are a way to get that income. So you can either continue to play the game that it is or spend a buck or two. Offcourse you can say well i spend 20 bucks and was misled, but lets face it not really. You spend that money to either get an advantage with boosters for quicker sp gain or on aur gear for quicker access to higher tier weapons. I'm sorry but i don't see the falt with ccp for giving you the means to get an advantage. And since your not actually paying for the game itself, it leaves out the possibility of argueing about the money versus the state of the game. If it was like EVE where you pay every month a subscription fee, then yes you would be paying for the quality of the game and should sue them. But not when all you are doing is paying to get ahead. Not to mention most games do the same, you buy a game, but if you want more like dlc or with for instance BF4 and COD and there weapon packs, you would have to pay for them. It's the same thing, just one company does it like that and the other in micro transactions. Another way of saying it is; you get what you payed for.
As for the stuff about boosters. The way i see it is aslong as the game is running and you can continue to use booster and aur gear, no matter the state of the game, it is nothing more then an everyday transaction. But that all said, the way the game is now is indeed not entirely what it was meant to be. Yes they over sold a few things game wise, but it is still a good playable game and will remain so till it shifts on to legion. |
