CCP Saberwing, tell pls, fitting planned in Legion, or we have only profile suits? If fitting alive, give us any screenshot pls! I need to quell the panic and not allow people to quit the game. No answer 4 me ((( I don't really understand the question mate, sorry :)
In Legion, we can equip our suits by modules? Or each suit is fixed, unmodified? Thanxx!

I personally will apologize for the way a lot of this information was conveyed during the keynote. The intention was for the follow-up roundtables to also be aired out live, but apparently that did not happen. I will also say that I am incredibly excited for this game and it's vision. I've seen huge strides in how things have been coming along over the last few months and I cannot wait to share more. What was shown on stage is an actual running build of the game. That prototype really exists, and really runs. It's not vapour or word of mouth, and I've playtested it myself in Shanghai. :)
Thank you, even that goes a long way. If that is indeed a functioning build I can't wait to get my hands on it. It looked amazing. I would ask that any form of private beta includes an invite to any dust player, past or present.
As for now I will continue to watch the forums.

He also made that entire point about cross-equipping weapons from different trees. |

Regarding dropsuit fittings, I honestly don't know enough but I will attempt to get CCP Z's thoughts on here. From what I gathered, the BPO "suits" that he mentioned are effectively cosmetic, therefore allowing us to have cosmetic things (yay!), but the fittings that go in to personalizing the performance of those suits will still allow you to create "customized fittings". I'll try to get more info from CCP Z over the next couple of weeks for you guys.

What I STILL want to know is how anyone thought this announcement was a good idea, why you didn't listen to CPM telling you to announce it beforehand, and why everyone STILL decided to NOT leak the news when there were sales which were actively playing on promises you no longer intended to keep?
I think THAT is the most important question right now. |

I think THAT is the most important question right now. I believe the answer that has been given is that they do intend to to keep the promises of the sales by allowing your progression to continue from DUST to Legion, they are just unable to answer the specifics of "how" at this time.

There is no doubt about a test server. The only thing question is when they will make it available. Most likely after it comes out of beta since, you know, the beta in and of itself will be the test version.

Would Dust players be able to already use their Dust chars during a beta?
I think this would be profitable for everyone. You could check how "powerful" former Dust-Mercs are in comparison to new players and Dust players would already see how their chars carried over.

I wanna know more specifics, of course their will be fittings of some kind. Bjt Im concerned about the statement that suit BPO's will in effect be cosmetic, what does that mean for racial gear, what's the difference between minmatar and amarr suits?
Is their reason to choose one over the other?

Guys, I'm starting to think that you haven't watched the presentation. The skill tree pretty clearly showed stat bonuses on its main branch, with the smaller branches having item unlocks. The end of the first major branch branches into racial specializations. This likely means that racials have racial profiles. Otherwise it doesn't make a lick of sense. You also get additional specializations at the end of a racial branch, like Caldari Assault Spec Ops. It would be exceedingly weird if those suits were only cosmetical in nature. No one at CCP would be insane enough for that, despite the disregard for sanity that they have shown at fanfest. |

yes, what was meant by suit BPO was that once you apply the skills to unlock a suit, you always have it. Everything else is consumable like it is now except for dropsuits...

Yes, once a suit is unlocked, it is yours. As for the racial stats that go with the suits, I would think those are attached to the skills that unlock those suits. So if you go down one path, you get the bonuses according to which BPO suit you are wearing that accommodates for the skill required to wear that particular BPO.
However, I wouldn't have minded if suits were actually looted or manufactured like ships and instead BPOs and BPC's were used to manufacture, not used to slot like an item/suit. I mean, ships aren't BPO's for good reason, player driven economy.... |

I think the point of the BPO system is the fact that dustbunnies don't have the ability to take off their suit, at least not from what has been shown. So instead you have your BPOs, which you will get comfortable with. Some of those BPOs will be your all-time favourites, which you can likely customize visually with Aurum items. The true merc experience of having completely unique suits that only get more unique the longer you play. At least that's how I interpret it.
By the way, I want a Dust veteran visual customization for Legion. Something like an image of a broken heart, with a 514 inside. |

Well i have a few questions; That suit in the eve legion trailer, you know the half face, half helmet, is that the new pilot suit?
With the looting in legion, will other modes/missions be created aswell? like assault a compound to retrieve BPO's, or assault compound and retreive the mining resources that are stationed there or assault the drone invested excavation sites for the rare relics, possibly including some actuall hacking, like in EVE. You know actuall complexes, where it's not 16 vs 16, but more like 16 vs a horde of drones or even less like 2-4 vs a horde.
What about the ammo styles, will those be more complex like in EVE, where it actually matters what your using or is it going to continue on the path it is now? Where it is dependant on the weapon, not ammo.
And in Legion, will we finally be able to go thrue vast buildings and city's, like in the very early days of dust or atleast is that one of it's goals?
Ow and one more, now that dust 514 will slowly die out over the next year or 2, can we finally know what it means? |
