I'm no great fan of the CPM members, individually or collectively.
In fact I wrote half a novel's worth of rant in one of their number's threads recently, because that particular CPM's attitude I felt was in need of an adjustment given the circumstances.
That said, there is nothing to be gained by asking for their resignations, other than soothing a few community member's frayed nerves by way of schadenfreude, or just plain vindictiveness. Taking a pound of flesh where we can, because it will make us feel like we at least bloodied the other guy's nose in return for having a mudhole stomped in us.
I'm all about action, but positive action that gets results and changes the way things are done. Not action for its own sake, or for the sake of revenge.
Asking for the CPM to resign is pointless.
Almost as pointless as the CPM is in the first place.
But that's a whole 'nother thing.

knight of 6 wrote: 1) the CPM don't work for you. they are a sounding board for CCP. CCP: "cpm, how wil this go over with the players?" CPM: "badly" CCP: "Okay, thanks"
2) dust was gonna die with or without the CPM the PS3 platform can't handle dust's size, they ran out of room so they switched systems. you can only optimize it so far.
1.) Exactly. CPM have no authority or power of any kind, there is nothing they could have done to prevent this other than saying "bad idea" which they've said was done at least in the beginning, and I've no reason to think them liars on that front.
Anyone expecting some kind of veto power to overrule CCP doesn't understand what the CPM is, and anyone that was/is honestly saying they should have broken the NDA doesn't understand what an NDA is, and how serious things can get for a person who has breached one.
2.) This I'm not sure about. I've seen too many far greater things accomplished on the PS3 than what CCP has delivered to be comfortable with saying the PS3 wasn't up to the task. Other than graphics fidelity. That's a no-brainer, but systems wise I don't think it's accurate.
Now I can absolutely believe CCP didn't have the talent or knowledge necessary to make the PS3 jump through the hoops they wanted it to, but that isn't the fault of the PS3 hardware itself.
If a bad driver is behind the wheel of a formula 1 racer and is unable to cross the finish line at Monaco, it isn't the fault of the machine. It's pilot error and lack of ability to get the most out of the thing, which is what I'm lead to believe the real situation here is.
