Even after everything CCP has said about dust not going. Even looking at fw, they have something that eve players won't want taken away and it interacts and affects eve. I don't have high hopes for dust but I think it will evolve but slowly and maybe go a separate path than originally planned. Well that was fun

They took our money, kicked us in the pants and run off into the sunset. We can't 'riot' like EvE did, the best we can do is either convince them to bring Legion full-release to PS4, or to not develop it and let the whole FPS of new eden project die. Preferably we would all prefer the former, but this is a game we have committed time, effort and in some cases money. DUST is an amalgamation of its players, the way it has been developed has been driver by us as much as it has the devs, yet now they are effeftively extracting the essence of the game WE helped to build and giving it to someone else, it's pretty damn saddening. Looks like its back to FPS Military Shooter 56 Monkey Mac - Just another pile of discarded ashes on the battlefield!

I'm, also, not paying for any of CCP's products ever again, which is a shame because I was going to try out EvE and was looking forward to Valkarie. Maybe if characters transfer over then I'll come back. That's a IF, though. I want my footsteps to be remembered. I don't think I affected anything in New Eden despite what has been said about Factional Warfare and all that bull.

Eve players run multiple accounts, I think the average is 2 accounts per person. IF we were to equate player bases, dust has roughly 20% of the playerbase of Eve online, meaning probably about 100k (20% of 500k) people. The problem is that they continued to sell said product after they decided it was being discontinued without warning people it was being discontinued. I was too busy to visit the forums for a month and am not one to pay attention to a fanfest for anything, so I paid for an aurum pack and there was no warning that they had discontinued the game. The thieves happily took my money. I've been a software product manager for 8 years and one of the things no one had to teach me when I started that part of my career was that if you discontinue a product, you warn customers that any purchase they make is on a discontinued product. Not giving the warning (or pulling all the products off the pricelist altogether) is more noobish than shooting at the MCC or as dishonest as selling a car to a 90 year old with dimentia and no license. I have no doubt that CCP is in the latter camp.

Look at the 1 year graph See how you can quite easily draw a trend line starting in December (around the 10th... release of 1.7) and around the time of fanfest? That is a positive growth trend-line that is very similar to Eve's circa 2003-2004 When the content stopped for 2 months( a week or so prior to fanfest), it appears as thought the positive trend-line stopped and since then, well there just simply enough data yet. 1 month from now we will be able to see the effects of no-content and the kick in the teeth that was fanfest. It is too early yet to make an informed statement of those events. Fixing swarms
