Max for the last 24 hours was 4,400. Games in the same state it was before. Or is it because people are still "burning" their assets? Is that still the excuse? It's been a couple weeks.
Look at the 1 year graph
See how you can quite easily draw a trend line starting in December (around the 10th... release of 1.7) and around the time of fanfest? That is a positive growth trend-line that is very similar to Eve's circa 2003-2004
When the content stopped for 2 months( a week or so prior to fanfest), it appears as thought the positive trend-line stopped and since then, well there just simply enough data yet.
1 month from now we will be able to see the effects of no-content and the kick in the teeth that was fanfest. It is too early yet to make an informed statement of those events.

I haven't logged on since fanfest, so I can't really say either way.
I just got off of a 2 week forum ban and wanted to see what is going on.

We lost a similar number in uprising 1.0. The only thing significant that happened was new names rose to power to replace them.
As others pointed out the numbers are barely dented. It would seem retention is higher now as well.

While a big list, not 100% accurate and also tells a different story. Pretty sure i've played with a couple within the last few days.
Also, been seening a lot of new players out there who are really enjoying the game. Since we lost a bunch of vets the noobs are not being stomped as hard. Yesterday, there was over 46k players on. So, we may be kising some friends & great players who really cared, we are still gaining new players with fresh perspective.
We know they can never feel the hope we had for this game but they are getting a chance to experience this in a way we couldn't.
I am the cool.

You mean when there weren't any cloaks, railguns, invincible maddys and the like? When the game bugs and glitches were first only really just coming out and no one thought it was a big deal? When the ability to enter the game didn't make you so susceptible to proto stoping?
I can sound like an a@@hole about it when I'm not trying to be the Captain Obvious part but these are significant differences; on Legion you're hoping to replace players with the PC market solely and either hoping to transition console players to PC or bust. That's a bit different from 1.0 and 1.8 where there isn't a transition in the player's platform. I don't like comparing this that have vastly differing situations and I get rather petty pointing out the differences |

Right, because FPSs on PC have been doing really well with the hackers running rampant. Day z: full of hackers; rust: full of hackers; titanfall: full of hackers; BF4: full of... well i think your starting to get my point. But hey, lets all run to legion on PC..

I said in a similar thread after FanFest that I was quitting/biomassing. Let this be known that I'm still here (well, in-game) rocking as hard as ever. I kinda cooled off a bit after the shock subsided. Basically this is my "I'm going down with the ship" post.
PS: I don't do PC games. So, unless Legion goes to PS4....well, you get the point.

as a componay the general concenus and logical thing to do is to make money.
even ina free to play games there will be things that cost actual money to get. and in this case aurum gear. people buy it because the want to and it costs them money so in turn ccp earns a bit of money from it. (some going to sony)
why don't people see this part?
if you were a company making things like games for instance iam prrety sure your hardworing staff is going to want some cash on that paycheck

I said I was quitting because my character data wouldn't carry over to EVE: Legion. Now that they are carrying over, there's a reason for me to keep playing DUST.

True still plays from time to time, as do I (though I'm not sure about this Aero Yassari guy, you'd have to ask him). Aisha Ctarl is definitely not biomassing. And quite frankly biomassing doesn't gain you anything so I'm not sure what the point would be.

I hope CCP gives me a reason to come back for legion.
I support legion. - it's more of a theoretical support. Depending on the feedback I get, it may become actual support.
