It would simply be a full refund to my PSN wallet of every penny spent on this game**. If that were to happen, I can honestly say I would wish them well getting back to their roots with Legion, and wish we could've been together longer. But until that day, I hope your children suffer from impotence or your bloodline ends with each of you.
P.S. Yeah, that may have been a little much, but I think it is an accurate portrayal of my feelings on the matter.

**=euphemism for "ponzy scheme" Would you have also asked for a refund had it been ported to the PS4 instead? The PS3 was a dying console, we all knew that. You knew what you were signing up for. I had a PS3 before this game because of a couple titles about 1 year after it's launch, before that a day-1 Xbox and was an original Live Beta-tester (nothing special, just fun), and before that..........a Super Nintendo. I am not buying a PS4 anytime in the next 1-2 years (likely, unless someone buys me one, which you are more than welcome to so :p ) so no, a PS4 port wouldn't have meant no ire from me, but I definitely wouldn't be expecting my money back if they would have confirmed Dust514 on the PS4. But as we know, there is no more Dust514, so I therefore want my money back that they stole from me over these last 6 months. |

Yeah, he did: "Laser Focused on the PS3" "10 year plan" "Hoping it last as long as eve" That sure sounds like they were gearing up to abandon Dust doesn't it? lol, you are so full of it (or just another CCP alt). Don't bother replying, I won't read it. Thank you, this is EXACTLY what I mean. |

That sure sounds like they were gearing up to abandon Dust doesn't it? They didn't abandon Dust 514. They gave it a new name on a new platform. Anyone who honestly thought Dust 514 would last 10 years on the PS3 alone is an insult to human intelligence. Why wouldn't it. They can update at will, adding new content as they see fit. They can add all the base racial weapons, they can finish up and reissue top level vehicles, etc.
Instead they used our money over the last 6 months, at least, to spend not on OUR game that we are paying for, but another game that doesn't even have the same hardware and is a clone of what we are playing currently. So they have conned everyone who has given them money to finance a PC game with PS3 gamers money. Sounds a bit on the shady side to me.
Exactly how isn't that a ponzy scheme? |

Its ALL about cutting out the middle man with legion. More iskies for CCP to build 'us' a monument. I would like one with a dust player slapping an eve player........ Or maybe a scout partially cloaked dropping RE's on a capsule? |

Do you really think Dust 514 could be successful if it was only available on a console that was released in 2006? Are you saying it wouldn't die until 2022 on a 16-year old console? If the game can run, how is adding a new skin to a character model a problem? Not a dev, or programmer, but alot of this stuff was already in-game, they just took it out "to fix". Maybe use a bit of the money they stole from us to get that gear back into the game.
And I don't give a flying **** how old the console is. It didn't suddenly get older as soon as they decided to make a game for it, did it? I don't believe our basic understanding of the flow of time was corrupted after they announced they were creating Dust514 on the PS3, so it was created in 2006 when they made that decision. Also, when they stated it would have a "10 YEAR PLAN", it was for a system created in 2006 so they knew exactly what they were saying.
I don't understand your argument at all. They knew what they had, they said what they did, they stole what they stole, and now we want our money back. Pretty simple actually. The age of the PS3 is irrelevant to my complaint, and your argument is baseless. |

The age of the PS3 is irrelevant to my complaint, and your argument is baseless. Either way, you're wrong. CCP never said they were going to support the PS3 version of Dust 514 for 10 years. They said: 1. "We are currently focused on the PS3" (They were) 2. "We have a 10-year plan" (They did) You mistakenly assumed they meant they had a 10-year plan for the PS3. That's your own fault. In one more year, they would have been forced by necessity to move to a new platform. Would you have demanded a refund then, too? Even though they offered you a goddamn character and asset transfer? What's the difference? 1 more year from now would have been 1 year and 6 months after they knew they were killing off dust. If they had known at the same time and still ran promotions to milk real money from fans believing they were paying to get items for and improve DUST514 while spending that entire time working on other projects (and NOT the one they were taking the money for) then YES, I would expect them to refund my money on these same grounds.
They told us many things, one of which was they had a 10-year plan for dust. Legion is not dust. Again, you seem to be forgetting that they only made it about 2 years and they have already shown they are done with it as most all developement is gone from Dust. That is definitely not the 10 year game I was promised, and I want the money back from that false advertizing.
I would even accept a prorated portion of my money, I think since they gave us 20% of the game they promised, we should get 80% back. It's more than I'm actually trying to get back from Sony as we speak. |

/c My investment has helped Legion players, but not myself or anyone I actually play Dust with. None of us are sticking around. We are all actively attempting to get our money back, and I am gonna continue till it happens. |

TunRa wrote:Do you demand refunds from every game you stop playing? I had a lot of DLC for MAG and when they shut the servers down I didn't say anything. I have DLC for The Last of Us, COD Word at War, COD MW2, BF3, BF bad company, Mass Effect, LBP, LBP2, and many others. Point is video games have and always will be terrible investments, and putting a single penny into one is a bad idea. None of the examples you gave stated they had a 10 year plan for their games. Most never gave any hope that the game would persist so I would have no reason to believe it to be so. Dust was pushed as a long-term, persistant game set in the EvE universe and allowed for development strings which lasted a decade into the future.
ALL of them never left the platform they began on, only expanded the list, which is my main concern. I have never played FPS on PC seriously (The controls for me are worse than I can describe) so this is an example of the game I played being removed from my platform I started it with.
I also think you seem to have forgotten all of the "events" done recently? None of the events had a component that didn't equate to the following: "Here is a way for you to earn bonus SP because our development time on new Dust items is slowed. If you buy Aur boosters during this time you will get an insanely high return on investment when compared to normal Dust activity, so BUY OUR **** FAST. We are going to do this for the 6 months leading up to Fanfest, well after we know our business direction, just to make sure that any PSN purchases will be outside the refund period, so we get to keep all the money we lied to you to get. BTW, since you loved funding a project you cannot use, we also wanna make sure that by restructuring the skills in Legion in a manner that doesn't allow for progression transfer, ALL the work you did over the last 2 years will be reduced to uselessness. Even though we promised a long-term persistent universe, as recently as less than 2 weeks ago, we have effectively shown how that will never happen with Dust/Legion."
That is basically our problem and basis for demanding a refund. We bought a product with specifically mentioned features, we got very few of those without complaint. Then they took away the rest of the points, and I now want my money back. |
