You do know that EVE players don't JUST play EVE, right? When nothing is going on, people are playing CS, ARMA, Battlefield, etc. with their alliance/corp. FPS are nothing new to most of them.

Id be willing to bet about at least 50% of EvE players don't play FPS games really competitively. I bet 95% of them will try Legion when it comes out. I think it will be interesting to see what happens. I heard Goons were basically stomped out of PS2 for example.

Seriously, it's going to be hilarious when all the spaceship-flying EVE players download Legion. I was a PC gamer until just 11 months ago when my gaming rig shat itself, and I got a PS3 and happened onto Dust. For 7 years before that, I was playing Counter Strike and Alliance of Valiant Arms, and many others. Oh, also UT and UT2004.

When the capsuleers log in, they're going to encounter a rude surprise, in the form of well-honed gun game that will send them crying to CCP for aim assist and keep them out of Legion's PVP for months or years to come. In terms of this, it doesn't matter if CCP shafts us and doesn't bring over our SP or assets- we'll still have an advantage that they'll never overcome.

Who else has years of KB/M FPS experience that they're just dying to bring to bear on smug capsuleers?

If Project Legion becomes something more than a prototype, we will not leave our DUST 514 players behind. You would be able to bring your character name, applicable skills/inventory, and other elements of progression with you. We are still working on the details and we will have more to announce soon.

I think a lot of it depends on just how many people we can field.

If the player count ends up being really high, EVE players might just Zerg the living hell out of DUST players, which would be beautiful. One can only hope lol, all I know is I have plenty of SP to start off as Dropship specialist and that's all I've ever wanted.

if i do decide to join (if legion even becomes a thing) i have my 100+ proto suits, high shields , and good weapons just waiting to taste eve pilot blood
