CCP Rouge: Just because you can't place a 10 year plan on it (CCP has stated in the past, numerous times a 5 year plan). You could have given us something. There are many great shooters on the PS3, many better then DUST, many that get game play mechanics, get balance, get vehicle play. Many that outshine what you have given us. And now, you are splitting the development team, taking resources away that could have made DUST into what you promised us it would be. This could have easily translated as a move to the PS4 in the furure. But no. Instead you gave us a presentation that said *uck you players. We no longer even care about DUST, we care so little for that game that when we hold a keynote presentation, we are not even going to talk about that game, and instead talk about a whole nother game. This is where we feel slighted. Gamers like myself that have put in countless hours, looking towards the future, hoping for more and more content, more maps, more players, more types of matches, more configurability of our mercs. And the possibility of making a difference in the bigger picture, EVE. Even in this new game we are told it won't matter, that the game is stand alone, that our influence in the universe will be negligible. Honestly, the way I feel is that CCP used us as a clandestine crowd funding group. You offered ton's of AUR gear, bought with real cash, and took that money and used it for things outside of DUST. I am one that does not pay for in game stuff, but I gave in to you, to your promises, to your universe and i ponied up cash for AUR so I could get some boosters, things to get a head, I'll never make that mistake again, and i hope any one coming in to this game from now, until you turns the servers off never pays another dime to you. I do play EVE, and i pay my monthly fees there, it's simpler to pay fees then grind isk to plex. My time is worth more then that. but there you have given me a game that works, one that give me choice and allows me to make a difference, so i pay you for that. If DUST were a pay to play game, It would have failed long ago and you would have 1/10th the players on here. I hope Legion succeeds, I really do. i won't play it, I'll keep grinding in the stars, but i'll play DUST until my corp goes belly up, because at this point, they are the best part of this game and the reason I still play. |
