isn't that obvious enough ? Console could never handle the real vision of dust. It has been limiting it from the start ... |

If this releases even a week earlier on PC than on the PS4, you are doing a great disservice to the community that stuck with this game for 2 years now, who were waiting for this game to become what EVE Legion is going to be.
Even if working on the PC version first will be easier, you will be abandoning the community, and consumer trust is something hard to restore. Do not repeat Incarna.
Problem is it is struggling as it is of right now... Nothing bigger won't come into Dust, not because there ll be another game but because of a dying platform that console is.. it would be the same with PS4 eventually. It has been limiting everything from the start. |

wait nevermind, Project legion is getting it instead of us
There would be no point in getting anything big in dust for console in the first place ... They are already struggling with performance issues as it is now. |

MOST OF US DON'T GIVE A **** ABOUT LEGION. WE ARE CONSOLE PLAYERS NOT PC PLAYERS.
If Legion becomes a reality, we won't be transitioning to pc for it. Now, you may not care because there are some eve players that will play it and a few others. But you will definitely lose the core group of guys who have been spending hundreds of dollars on dust and helping you guys with the fps design learning curve. Now, you may say, "fugg the console players, there are plenty of pc players that we can tap into"....but then be honest about it.
You console players have to understand, that adding bigger stuff into dust would cause the console to explode, they are already struggling with the performance as it is. Dust is by far the maximum what can console handle in mmo, it would perform better in singleplayer. Consoles are made for fast, easy and fun games ... |

I believe that Legion will be using the Unreal Engine 4 (Where as DUST uses 3)
They also will both be interacting with EVE online and it's database, and it's market.
How much development with EVE could be done "in parallel"; meaning are there things with EVE (such as OBs of today) which could be added to DUST while developing Legion. For example, many such features seem to be more practical to introduced into DUST and Legion at the same time, such as the "progression" presentation, as well as the full market integration (Which should be largely EVE-side code?) Stop ******* asking about Legion....we are trying to preserve dust on the console.
It will be preserved ... problem is nothing much can be added to it, it wouldn't handle such huge scale that the original vision had. Console is made for fast, easy and fun games... |

Problem is, Dust would never be so awesome on a console. Too many limitations from start, consoles aren't made for such complicated, huge things like vision for dust. They are for fast, easy, and fun games... Any mmo for console will have to be focused on 1 thing, never on so many things that dust is. Singleplayers tend to be better on console obviously, but never mmo. You want to be dust so much on a console, yet you don't realize it can never really happen there. |
