A summary of questions I would like to have an answer for, and a couple of my own. Minor grammatical errors were corrected in some for ease of reading, but the wording is the same.
The Issue of Trust
It is hard to trust. Here are the questions that best illustrate that. The first one is paramount. The second and third show why.
Spademan wrote, "So, can we take this as 100% confirmation that somehow, someway, our characters will be transferred? Can I quote you on that?"
Spacetits wrote, "Why should any of us take seriously any promises made about Legion or your plans for it? These were all the same ideas about how awesome Dust was gonna be, from a couple of years ago".
Console vs. PC
Help people to understand. Some of us always suspected PS3 would not be able to survive, but many expected PS4.
Ziiro Celeste wrote, "My main question is why build a player base on console, and then shift to at totally different platform of PC? Yes, I understand that you all at CCP are far more adept at designing games on PC (EVE), but to build a community on one platform and then "jump ship" is just horrid".
Hakyou Brutor wrote, "Did you only view us as 'Legion Beta Testers' for the failed vision (on console) that WAS DUST 514? If Legion was meant to be on PC, why even take the DUST 514 console step? Why not immediately begin work on Legion on PC in the first place without the need for DUST 514 to even exist?"
Communication and Public Relations
This is perhaps where CCP, at least with DUST, has failed most spectacularly.
Nirwanda Vaughns wrote, "Would it really be so hard to have had these FAQs prepared before announcing Legion?"
ContraBanJoe wrote, "Where is the apology about how this was 'revealed'? You outraged your Dust514 audience both AT fanfest, and the thousands of mercenaries viewing it from home on the live feed. An apology is paramount to restarting constructive dialog in my opinion".
Transfer Specificity
CCP Rouge wrote:If Project Legion becomes something more than a prototype, we will not leave our DUST 514 players behind. You would be able to bring your character name, applicable skills/inventory, and other elements of progression with you. We are still working on the details and we will have more to announce soon.
When stating applicable skills/inventory, that leaves you all a lot of wiggle room to essentially do nothing, and claim it was applicable. Specificity is paramount. Further, when CCP says soon, history has proven it to mean never more often than not. Do not delay. Figure this out soon. Oh, the irony. As in what the word really means, not the PR soon CCP has created, and even jokes about.
1. Clarity of intent is crucial. What exactly do you mean by this? Right now it just seems like a platitude and is worded to allow you all to drop any aspect of our mercs you want, and claim they weren't applicable. Can you state, clearly, this is not the case?
2. And finally, when is soon? Give us a date. Have a meeting, a discussion, a party, but stop saying soon, and start engaging in an honest discussion with this community. This post is an important, and impressive first step, but it's just that. We have a long way to go if you expect us to trust you again.

I believe it will be more open world, based on the tech video they showed. But then again, who knows. Therefore, having them actually say one way or the other . . . would be nice.
