Ok. I'll go with the most obvious one:
Legion seems like it's just an updated version of Dust and basically what we were promised to get in Dust for the last few months. Due to that the playerbase is reasonably concerned about their characters, because CCP handles Legion like it's a new game. So: What will happen to our characters? Can we port them over? Are there plans as to how that will work? Some kind of conversion of the character age in Dust to what you can achieve in Legion during that time maybe? What would happen with the BPOs we paid real money on then?

Wanting to know what the future now actually holds for Dust, regarding updates, fixes, new material etc... because if nothing new will happen, I doubt people will stay with a laggy, hardlocking, freezing and buggy product that delivers hardly anything close to what was expected/promised.
So yeah, I would like to actually know what they are thinking, because I seriously doubt people will spend any more on a "game" which might not receive any more support or updates.... |

Let me be blunt, Jenza. CAP Rouge is unlikely to get calm, constructive questions from the community until he gives calm and rational indication that the current player base is not being thrown under the bus. Why did you make the Legion announcement during keynotes for Dust. Did you not find that disrespectful to the fans that had flown to Iceland? Came all that way to hear about Dust...and you talk about Legion.

To reiterate what others have asked: Will there be some kind of transferrability of our Dust characters to Legion?
Hint: "We don't know yet" or "We will try" are not valid answers. I'm not looking for a "Yes, you'll get all your SP and assets transferred untouched" here. If you can't commit to a simple "Yes, loyal Dust players will get some kind of starting reward in Legion.", I don't see why anyone would want to ever invest time or money in a CCP game again. |

CCP has always considered capsuleer characters and assets sacrosanct, no matter what mistakes they've made. (aside from exploits, etc)
One of the best examples are T2 BPO's. Even after invention got added and several nerfs, the players in possession of these rare, historic items still gain a decent advantage through their use.
Those of us who looked at DUST long-term assumed the introduction of manufacturing would change our BPO's, yet we would have them always if only as a limited boost to manufacturing of items. The proverbial room showcasing the suits of armor from our past.
Instead we lose our characters, SP, ISK, AURUM _AND_ BPO's. All but the first and last I can live with.

Yes ask him about allowing DUST514 players to have (way) early access. I mean we've been alpha testers for 'Project Legion' this far, might as well be beta testers as well.

Ok, here are my questions:
- Do you plan to keep the F2P business model for Legion? If yes, what are your plans for the inevitable aimbots and hackers?
- What about character transfers? (The stream broke up when you answered that questions last night)
- How do you plan to differentiate the core FPS mechanics, now that you have more freedom? Will it still be a Battlefield clone? Will scouts finally be fast?
- What are your feelings on the fact that you sold Omega Boosters right before this announcement? Don't tell me that you didn't expect this blowup to happen. Dust is not EVE, we never had the scammer culture here because we never had a sandbox. Scam EVE players all you want, but we Dustbunnies have actual feelings to hurt.
- What will happen to Dust? Please, be honest. You are talking about Legion being "just a prototype", while clearly making all the keynotes about it. You are saying one thing (Legion is just something that you are working on and aren't yet sure about) but do another thing (Make all the keynotes about Legion and give us not even a lick of information about future developments of Dust).
What is it? Will Dust stop getting major updates?
I mean, I actually wouldn't dislike it all that much if Dust on PS3 was a lobby-shooter focused game, while Legion was the full version. But only provided that Dust actually gained the necessary polish, including your redesigned skill tree (For some reason I'm starting to think that I'm the only one who actually likes it), future weapon balance and content updates, as well as exclusive features that only make sense for Dust.
Have you ever thought about re-thinking the control scheme for this controller-first FPS? Now that you have a PC version, we can stop pretending that it's possible to aim accurately with analog sticks.
If done well, it could differentiate Dust from other lobby shooters. It would also create a foundation for a future PS4 port.
- Now that Dust is obsolete, can you activate passive SP gain on all characters, instead of just one per account? |

As a PC player, Legion looks awesome. I want to love it, but there needs to be one guarantee for me: that our characters, and assets, can be duplicated in Legion with a fair interpretation (skills, assets) that makes sense for Legion.

Tell him I sincerely hope they plan to come back on the PlayStation in the future. Or at least be a third-party game developer.

It is ironic how much people want so many big things in dust or want dust to become something great in a suggestion threads, yet they don't ever realize that this won't ever be possible on a dying console that is ps3, it never would have worked best on a console. They already have a hard time optimizing it as it is today. This game was never supposed to be run and gun shooting game, to win a battle just for that feeling of win.. yes that is what made most of the players to play this game for... just for the simple fact to feel better that they win and are "better" than someone else, that is where rage came from, all these huge issues, the state of dust here on ps3 has, it has become something completely different than we really dreamed of. Imagine what is possible to do in PC everything we always wanted. And no, no money or investment went to nothing.. it all helped Dust to become something much bigger, something great. Just imagine, so dynamic battlefields where climate has a radical influence on gameplay, huge conflicts, large scale logistics... I mean there s so much more than what I said, even more of what they actually showed us, pay attention, it was a huge improvement.. this would never become possible on a console. Dust needs a stable platform to be amazing in a long term. All this possible with the learning from past. |

I think they are fools if they do not try to develop some games for PS4 or X1, they do not have to be compatible with updates. It's called making sequels or new games.
This whole "build on what the community wants" thing is going to be CCP's downfall. They need to build on what the community PAYS MONEY FOR.

1. Why should people still care about Dust since you killed this great project yesterday? What should players keep active and whats tthe plan to atract people to this lobby shooter with no future?
2.Will there be a money refund for all the money guys spent on this game mislead by false advertising which is indeed a violation of most countries laws?
3.Does he is proud of working for a game company which has to use this dirty tricks to get money?
4. Can he sleep at night?

2) number one question from all mercs: char transfer - names, ISK, SKILLS, gear, and what is the main problem form stoping you transferring.

The rumor is because of the technical realities of the PC platform.
Even if the game starts F2P, I expect it to quickly change to a paid model. Anything else would make it too easy for skript kiddies and hackers.

There seem to be faction-neutral suits now, actually. I wondered what that weird suit on the slide was. But the roles don't actually get faction alignment at the beginning, so that might be what that weird suit is. |

Now that Legion has been announced, and is to be what Dust should have been, is there any plans to redirect their focus for dust that can work within the limitations of the PS3? The main reason I (and I will assume others) stayed for 2 years is not because of how pretty the game looked.

What is the end-goal for Dust 514? What is still needed before you can finally stop progress on it and call it "finished"?
Will these updates follow Legion's design plan or will they be on their own path?

One of the pre-fanfest leaks (second-hand information, reliable) mentioned CCP being pissed at Sony for not doing the marketing push as promised. Those of us who've played since closed beta with the quality issues following can understand if this was the case.
To what degree was that part of the decision to make a clean cut from DUST? And will it affect any possible good-will deal between Sony and CCP regarding the legalities of player transfers? |

You know, when I 1st played Dust it had the same skill window as Eve online. They changed it to this circle thing, but you can still access the original skill tree in game on your character sheet.
I have 20 million sp and I have never touched the circle skill... window... thing... ugh... It's pointless. the original skill system is not confusing, everyone understands eve online's progression system. Even that eve online bootleg with mecha robots *can't remember the name, it's f2p on steam now...*
What is with the confusing dumb circle UI for the skill window?... who designed that mess...

I have an idea I'd like him to use a springboard for serious consideration (or perhaps use it to generate a feasible alternative that comes from this same line of thought).
Will you please allow for a program where dust players can petition individually to be compensated in Legion for their time spent on Dust514?
For example (and i just pulled this out of my ass):
You obtained x amount of sp on your 'main' for this email/psn account so we will compensate your new character with either of these benefits
[Some nerfed equivalent amount of a 'head start' sp (you get 250k base xp for every million sp you had in dust) even if it was 3-6 months of accumulated sp gain at legion's pace BECAUSE of the time/money invested in dust DUE TO THE PROMISES AND THE VISION that will now be fulfilled on this product.
'Booster' equivalents in legion rewarded based on either how many we purchased here or a booster reward that was based off of our total sp]

Well it's the UE3 engine being used for dust.
As for carbon not being a graphics engine....Pray tell me what eve online has been using for 10 years now?

Only things that I would expect to be transferred would be AUR items, AUR and SP.
Everything else would probably be reset.
My logic for thinking this is this: I spent cash on Aur for items in a game that is now being discarded for a second iteration of that game. If they allow character transfers, they should allow a transfer of all AUR items and AUR in our inventories/wallets. IMHO, SP should be included since my total could be affected by boosters which are AUR items.

What did CCP know and when? A lot of what of what was promoted for DUST is now for Legion it seems - when did that decision occur? Maybe I missed something but until now there was rather positive reinforcement that things like player market and PVE would come to DUST eventually.
There is such a thing as expectation management and I'm not sure it was demonstrated in an entirely favourable way (does CCP?).
At this point, one could be inclined to believe that the reason DUST was brought out of beta in the state it was in, was precisely because they knew it wasn't going anywhere, and needed to make some kind of return...what were their genuine intentions from DUST release?

1- As CCP Rouge said, to "realize what they've always wanted" they need a PC architecture, much easier for them, and with less Technical issues.
PS4 is actually a 100% PC architechture, and totally friendly to F2P (You don't need to suscribe to the PS+ to play F2P Online at the contrary of other games, so lot of people that bought a PS4 but don't want to pay every months WILL play Project Legion).
On the other hand Dust 514 already have a contract with Sony making the transition between Dust and Legion MUCH easier, As you said yourself Sony helped you a lot of times, why no more ? (Sorry for my bad english "Frenchness" as he said.)
And to finish it seems more logic to do PS3 => PS4 than PS3 => PC
If you wanted a game that needs more System requirements than PS4 it would mean than only 10% of PC players could play it anyway....PS4 seems way better.
So, do you have the intention to make it on PS4 instead of PC ?

-Give us a list with what is going to be added to dust. All this time, there was nothing said about things that would be added to dust, only what would be taken away.
- AURUM refunds? it's obvious CCP, CSM and CPM knew this for months. Keeping your mouths shut while squeezing money out of people is a **** move.
- EVE players said this since the Beta for Dust started, why did noone listen to them?
- Why was this handled so poorly PR wise? Why not make the announcement 2 months before fanfest and than present stuff that is going still going to be added to Dust at Fanfest and announce EVE: Legion?

We all put effort into this game that was suppose to sick around in the New Eden universe. We invested TONS of money into this game so we could be playing this game ten years down the road with everything we worked so hard to unlock on our toons.

Join faction warfare.. We have command of some nice Eve fleets in some of our Hellstorm programs. It's fun for both sides Eve and Dust. CCP gave us the option and we embraced it and made great friends doing so.
Just the bar for entry in this kind of gameplay was to high so I think they are going to scrap it for Legion.

I don't think any of us expected to be on ps3 forever, but to be quite honest the move to PC was a little unexpected, are you considering a PS4 port? sony has mentioned that the PS4's architecture makes it easier than before to port PC games to it. what is you opinion of that and does it effect the possibility (if any) of a legion PS4 port?

That has nothing to do with me getting on Dust, and playing with my EVE friends in their environment.
My response was made because the previous poster did not realize the context of the statement was Dust and Legion coexisting in a manner of being able to "play together".
The fact that there is a "tie" between EVE and Dust is entirely irrelevant to my original statement, since you are literally unable play together while on the separate games with said "ties". Hence my statement saying they cannot coexist.

If this was the plan all along, why werent they give us a warning about this?
What are the arguments of CCP to trust their projects? (Most of Video Game income comes from the fanbase (obviously), a solid fanbase makes a solid game but they are building the wrong fame)
Is there a plan to make Dust players be welcomed to Legion? (a skill refund would be nice at least partiall but i know that wont happen  )
Is it worthy to keep playing Dust anymore? (The only game that i can play thx to passive SP n measurable time matches, i have spent most of my free time on this game cus i had big hopes on this)

I dont get this.
If Dust 514 is exclusively for PS3, how is possible to make the same game for PC because if you saw Legion gameplay is the exact same game (graphics) just more polished with another name. Any company wont let anyone to do that Ex. Flappy bird game and the developer just used the graphics!
How sony is still cool with that? Unless there are already talk about porting it to PS4.
Do you still use an iphone 3rd gen or a newer version? Even if it is 2 separate games Dust eventually will die.

Why is our current progression (and his future vision for Legion (only?) progression) so completely different from EVE's progression?
EVE has an amazing system for progression. Why doesn't DUST simply emulate that?

Also, why fight the community on Respecs, which we clearly want, when the game has no future? When our decisions don't matter since this game is now officially going nowhere (updating it =/= becoming what we were promised) what harm do respecs cause?

I think the community deserves to hear a detailed case for why the existing game can't "evolve" into Legion on the PC and has to be started from the ground up. Restarting from scratch is one of the biggest blunders one can do in software. Here is a famous article: Things You Should Never Do, Part I on the subject. Here's a great cartoon.

Extremely valid question. So far we've seen rocks, trees and lit fog as killer-features of Legion. I'm really unsure as to why that warrants a rewrite of the whole game.
I can't yet see why Dust can't accommodate most of the anticipated features like a player market or PvE. Considering that most of the processing happens on tranquility or the battleservers anyways, the platform of the client software shouldn't affect the result at all. |

I think the whole community acknowledges that the PS3 has a limited lifespan, but most were expecting an evolution to better hardware, not a separate product. Why not create a survivor mode that you (merc) and a group of friends do side missions and try and survive for as long as possible against huge numbers of Drones.
Question 1 : Since Dust will have future updates, When can we expect racial tanks, MCC, Lav, Dropship, ect... ?
Question 2 : When can we expect 2.0 Skirmish, Player trading, and the New UI (User Interface) ?
Question 3 : What will the next expansion be called after Uprising ?
These are my three questions. Keeep up the good work ccp. I believe in you.

why he would risk all of that just to move to pc?
also, if he tries to give you an excuse consoles won't allow him to freely do what he wants. the ps4 is just as good a computer.

CCP wanted to expand their market. It seemed like a good idea at the time but now it seems that Dust on the console isn't going to work out. Too many problems cropped up that only a PC version or maybe a PS4 can address. Then there is the fact that Unreal Engine 3 was used instead of UE4. As a result, the potential for Dust to expand was hindered.

The DUST side of CCP has constantly said they want to develop this game with us, but in the past they make decisions without giving a whole lot of explanation about them.
Will CCP now be transparent about their design process after this ordeal with the announcement of Legion, or will they SEEM to continue develop the game in their own vision? Will there be meaningful community feedback now? |

These are not questions so much as expectations that I personally have. Disclosure I am a long time eve player and I PREFER PC FPS. However I am among the most angry of people because I totally bought into the "laser focused on PS3"
Now I have to admit I am excited about Legion, only because it is what we were promised for DUST.
My expectations:
CCP will FULLY transfer all of our efforts on our current characters to our new ones. We need to know we can keep playing DUST for now and our accomplishments won't be in vain. I think the community expects a promise from CCP to this regard.
CCP will continue to truly support DUST for anyone who only has a PS3 and doesn't want or can't afford a next gen console or Gaming PC. I understand CCP might not be able to do the grand things they wanted to on the PS3 but any assets or improvements from Legion (EG: weapons, suits, equipment, maps) which can be brought over to DUST should be. I understand if textures and models and stuff are scaled down for PS3. I already play with my settings on low because the PS3 can't handle your game on High.
CCP will become INFINITELY more transparent about Dust and Legion from now-on. After supporting your game since the early beta, I expect to have much better communication about the development of the new game. I hate that you think you need a CPM to communicate with this tiny tiny community you have. Every dev should have mandatory forum time where they literally spend an hour every day just posting on the forums, any threads they can find. |

Will there ever be any major updates in the foreseeable future?
If Project Legion comes out who will develop for Dust if it lives that long? Will the teams still be split?
Is it possible to outsource this game to a different developer while CCP has some control(preferable very little creative control) ? Because if Project Legion comes out it seems most development would still be for Legion thus leaving dust as an inferior experience with very little hope of a big update. |

CCP will become INFINITELY more transparent about Dust and Legion from now-on. After supporting your game since the early beta, I expect to have much better communication about the development of the new game. I hate that you think you need a CPM to communicate with this tiny tiny community you have. Every dev should have mandatory forum time where they literally spend an hour every day just posting on the forums, any threads they can find.

When did development on Legion really start? (I've heard various claims from "right after Vegas" and a couple saying "before Vegas" all the way to "only a month ago", with most of the reasonable-sounding estimates falling in the 2+ month range)
If it was more than a week ago (all current estimates point to "yes"), why are we only hearing about it now?
If Legion fails, will DUST have a real future?
Why can't at least some of the promised core content for DUST still be promised as future content for the game? Why do we have to settle for barely-beta levels of content while the things we were meant to get are being included in a completely separate game on a different platform from the one we were led to believe the game would be moving to?
Why can't Legion be developed on PS4 as the lead platform? The only attempt at a reason I've seen is that because DUST failed as a console shooter, trying again in a different game engine on a different console would somehow also magically fail as well. I'm pretty sure that isn't a logical or valid answer, and a real answer to it would be great.

As far as I can tell, CCP is implying that it is surprised at the reactions of the dust community, but I have to ask, How you could possibly be so confused when it comes to what we want, that this could be a surprise?
What was the big idea making dust a ps3 exclusive in the first place? Can we assume it was always the plan to make this dust sequel pc-exclusive? I see how this strategy is really, really great for your game, but I was promised things for THIS game, and you couldn't deliver. Why should I expect better from you after that?
Look, even though you guys failed us in the direction you took with Dust 514, that is fine in the sense that it was a business decision you had to make. I would rather you kill dust than suffer as a business out of some deluded plan to lose money, that's isn't reasonable. I could easily believe that none of the things that prevented you from realizing the dream that was dust 514 were the fault of CCP.
But I can definitely criticize how badly you broke the news to us, I think any business that could anger and upset so many customers with such poor public relations tactics is certainly doomed to fail, especially if they can't even admit where they went wrong.

why is legion turning class based like battlefield? I thought it was supposed to be like eve.

I'd rather be able to buy 1 eve character and 1 legion character for 10$ instead of 15$ for eve for two extra characters I never use. you could break plex into 3 categories. a cheaper single character version for accounts with only one person up to the current plex which would allow three.
Can we change the name? Legion sounds terrible compared to dust 514, at least dust sounds like it could be a planet name. legion just feels cheesy.
are there plans to bring the three games onto one? Weve seen leaked screens for one character across three options to the three games. Or is that just a poster. (the one with the Latin quote we translated)
will the races be fixed? Gallente and Caldari should both have equal access to hybrid weapons and caldari need more missile weapons so gal can primary in rails and blasters.
also things like armor repair tools going to gallente and amarr with new skins because everyone knows they don't make sense as minnatar equipment. modules so gallant can active tank with high repair rates to stand and eat damage. Will shields go passive? Will the gallente weapons be fixed? Will there be new gallente themed light and heavy suits to match the medium suit which is the only true gallente suit in dust. Will vehicles get capacitors? They should be removed otherwise.
Can you give an official answer to how many people you think should be required to kill a vehicle in legion based on update 1.7 completely breaking the game and ruining balance? Has anyone candidly admitted 1.7 was a complete and utter failure? Especially as dusts last true update?
Will there be real ewarfare? Or just the current broken scanning nonsense since you ruined active scanners.

Will future cpms not be required to sign an NDa based on the fiasco and failure of cpm 0 to protect the players?
This is more of a request but can we strike every cpm0 member from the record and refer to cpm1 as cpm 0 so we can put this behind us? As if cpm0 for dust never happened?
What are the odds of legion being discontinued altogether because of how negative fan reaction was and because of the negative media coverage online about the situation?
If these are addressed in video can someone link it to me? Or just answer them here in text so I can read it.

Speaking of gross incompetence being a dismissible offense from the CPM, why is Jenza still here? She doesn't even have enough respect for the community to apologize for not doing the interview she promised us. She just vanishes like a fart in the wind and pretends she never got dozens of players she's supposed to represent to take the time to write up intelligent questions. Pathetic.

They are staying with UE3
They say that they have everything worked out to give great lighting effects and such.
Personally my money is on the devs being lazy pos programmers. |
