Can someone please explain to me in a brief paragraph of whats going on and why people are all mad right now? I heard something of the game ending or something? I highly appreciate it.

CCP/Shanghai has moved the developers to a new project that might or might not become a game. The game is called Legion and it is based in New Eden thus it is tied to EVE Online so players will be able to be scammed and Ganked.
At least half the team, probably all for the last month, have been working on the as yet unrealized game instead of doing anything on Dust.
Which leads us to believe that we have wasted years, thousands of hours, cash, lots of it in some cases for a game that was supposed to last 10 years. Except they have stopped development to build a PC game that will not be ported to any console unless the demand for such is extraordinary - that means no it won't be ported.
The game is completely different. Skills are not important, only getting better gear is important. Better gear is obtained through point and click efforts to find Salvage and there will be some kind of Salvage Bot but nobody knows if they are to help, hinder or are merely targets.
So CCP just fired a bullet into Dust and out came a game that might not ever be released. The bullet's name is Legion.
And so it goes.

Theyve know about this since October. The decided to tell us about it during fanfest.
They showed us everything we wanted then said is for the PC.
Further statements about the PS3 not recieving updates only tweaks.
General silence from the CPM until they tried saying that they warned CCP not to do it this way.
General silence from the Devs except deletng and locking threads.
Today some CPM members telling us whats up and apologizing.
Then Rouge releasing the the Top sticky in general discussion.
A cubic crapton of drama, biomassing, refunds, no more refunds and rage rage rage.
Something clever that makes people think Im not a bitter **.
