The only reason I say where possible is because progression, skills and items are being looked at and there's no guarantee that they will be in Legion. In that case, we would do our best to find some other way of protecting that investment.
I'm glad you are acknowledging our "investment". An investment of time and money in the vision CCP sold us over the last two years.
Even if you provide a 100% transfer an/or equivalent, realize a lot of us aren't about to buy a PC. We'll just know our toons are in cold storage until you guys get around to looking at the PS4 (or in my case OSX could work as well). Maybe one day we'll get to use them and that could be enough. even though you are effectively shutting out a chunk of your player base.

At the time of closed beta the PS4 was vaporware. I've had a PS4 for awhile now. It is still boring as far as content outside of BF4, which only recently got to be playable. I think given their timeline, they had no choice. It was either PS3 or xbox. I think we were all glad they went down the path of PS.
That aside, it was obvious the PS4 was going to be a different beast, but a better one, to develop on. They could have hit that platform running and grabbed a giant share of PS4 players. They really squandered a big opportunity there, amongst others.
I'm really disappointed in CCP Rouge. Personally, I'd have hired someone with a different development skill set. Going only PC is a step backwards from where the money is heading, and it clearly divides your customer base. There is no guarantee going PC is going to be any better, and if anything, if far more open to hacks. They lament the couple extra steps with Sony development, but just wait until they have to contend with the open internet on an FPS.
