I've tried to make this super clear - we will do whatever we can to transfer over your investment in DUST. That means names, skills, items, etc - where possible. The only reason I say where possible is because progression, skills and items are being looked at and there's no guarantee that they will be in Legion. In that case, we would do our best to find some other way of protecting that investment.
That doesn't answer the question put to you Saber.
Why did you ramp up AUR sales knowing there was an announcement that Dust was being canned? More a question of morals rather than the obvious financial reasons. An opportunity to win some trust back here Saber. If you can give a good answer. If the answer is "we wanted more money" then perhaps just keep quiet or carry on dodging the question.
People's trust in CCP has taken a drastic nosedive as a result of the way this news was delivered and the way you've handled the responses here. You've lost the possibility of a large player base wanting to come with you to a new platform because, quite frankly, we don't trust you to get the job done or keep us in the loop.
I understand (hopefully most do) that there are limits to working on the PS3 but you can't make a good game without accepting some limits and working within them. You hold on to the other ideas for when the next gen consoles give you opportunity to pursue them. You don't split your team to work on a new project and still claim to be dedicated to progressing the original one. The consequences were felt in buggy fixes and patches ever since. If you were truly committed to developing an exciting cross-platform experience you could have done so much more but only by getting the team to work on it not splitting them.
I honestly don't think you get why people are so p***ed at you guys. Start giving some honest answers and explanations if you really do want to keep some of your current player base. I suspect they don't matter much to you as I get the impression you think a new platform will mean a totally fresh start with this game and a new player base. Someone needs to go to business school I think. |

I will admit that there have been issues in messaging, and we're going to be clearing up as many facts and answering as many questions as we can over the next few days.
As far as PS4 vs PC, we went with PC because that's what we've worked more with in the past. There are also fewer hoops to jump through when developing for PC compared to a console. I'll be honest, Sony has done amazing stuff and removed a lot of red tape for us with DUST, but it's still not a simple process.
Just remember, the door isn't closed for PS4 (or beyond as may be the case). It's just a door we're not looking for right now.
I just want to say, this is a decision that must be made soon. People can't be strung along this time. And if you do go for the Ps4, it must have a final release no more than a week after the PC. Otherwise the people that left likely won't come back. (I know they're a relatively small number, but they were loyal, and may be again) I can already say that PS4 will not be an option parallel to Legion on PC before release. We'll only look at that door after we're comfortable on PC, as we want to get the game itself in a healthy state first.
Not the answer we wanted but honest. Thank you. |

I understand where your concern is coming from here, but this is a question that we cannot answer in any form. CCP Does not disclose it's financials.
What about its morals? Does it disclose them? |
