Just read a thread where the guy spent $600 on this game so he could have 50 mill SP. How many more of you "True" Try-hards are out there? Please be sure to tell us all how much you spent on this game so we can all laugh at you.
In fairness I've spent a total of about $40 on Dust isince I began playing. *HaHaHaHa at my dumbass*
But I KNOW there are way worse out there ^_^

In total over the last year I have spent over $600 myself. This includes the 100 and 50 packs that had the BPOs as well as $115 on the eve collectors edition just to get the templars. I have also bought multiple LAV BPOs to gain ISK advantages and run Aurum equipment with the sole purpose of accumulating more ISK.
The last year I spent and all the money I spent working towards my huge ISK reserve which was all for the purpose of being able to have fun with whatever I wanted when the player market opened is DEAD right along with CCPs reputation with me. I have a huge gaming PC here that will never see Legion unless there is a full transfer and I have a 60 day key for EVE that will go into the trash just to make sure I take no part in sending some other player to CCP to be reamed out by selling it or giving it away. |

$275.
One Merc Pack back in closed beta, when it came with the tribute suits on that one weekend.
One Elite Pack, for the BPOs and the boosters and Aur.
The EvE Online CE, mostly for the Dust BPOs. I also liked the book, which mentioned Dust as the future of EvE.
A small amount of Aur for an Omega Booster before the Million Clone Challenge.
All these things, now return to the Dust from whence they came. None of it matters now. None of it ever mattered. CCP, you've broken me. I kept going for two goddamn years, on the hope that maybe this game could become something truly great. But now it will never be anything. You consistently missed the mark, crushed expectations, and laughed all the way to the bank.
You've lost a loyal customer today, CCP. I hope you're proud of yourselves, you repulsive shitbags.

Close to $2,000, I've bought several Ps3s to play dust, tvs, dumped a load of money into the beta, put money into boosters, bpos etc.
I'm also an EVE-Player, and have spent about that much there too.
I'm looking forward to seeing EVE: Legion with mixed emotions. I'm very emotionally invested in what I've accomplished in Dust 514, my skill choices, my corporation, everything. And, with Legion, suddenly poof, I feel those choices were made blindly while chasing their carrot.
Legion appears to be what dust 514 was promised to be from the beginning. I bet their war-barge map actually works, too. >.<
I see Legion's launch as the final, actual beta reset, however we don't get to keep our BPOs (answers the 'what do we do with bpos?' Make a whole new game lololol) or our names. The corporations exist in EVE, so those hang around.
I'll be in Legion, it's the game I've been waiting to play this entire time while wading through the battlefields of Beta 514.

$50 pack (the one with the Blood Raiders Saga LAV BPO), maybe around $50 on AUR.
And then there was the Anniversary bundle. Not specifically Dust, but the Templar gear was the primary reason I bought it. That, and CCP suckered me into thinking they had a grand vision for gaming, which I wanted to be a part of and support.
At this point, I've cancelled my EVE subs (maybe I'll keep PLEXing my main, but I doubt it) and am looking forward to console-only gaming again. It's cheaper and way less cereal (most of the time, EVE feels like a part-time job).
CCP can suck my a$$. I think Dust is genuinely a good game and am glad it is my first FPS; too bad it was only a means to an end for CCP. The initial allure of the New Eden universe has worn off. The only really fun part of EVE was interacting with my corp on comms; the rest of it was pretty grindy/repetitive.

To be honest though, I would probably would have spent a lot more on dumber stuff if Dust had not kept me preoccupied. So I am not really upset about the money. More bummed out about the time spent skilling up.

A lot more than most of the people in this thread, but not more than the 2000 guy.
Here's the thing though...think about this.
You go out and buy a $60 game for a good chunk of 60 hours right? Maybe 120 if it's an RPG or online game. I usually judge a game by $1 per hour of gameplay. If it nets me more hours than dollars it was money well spent, especially if I enjoyed them.
I enjoyed Dust without paying a subscription, but by supporting them with what I felt was a good amount every so often. This game has been released for a full year now practically, that's about 350 days, of which half I spent at least 2-6 hours playing. That's an average of 4 hours for 175 days meaning 700 hours plus 300 more hours from closed beta...
We're looking at about 1000 hours or more, and I've definitely spent less than $1000

90 bucks for merc pack, vet pack, and extra AUR with no regrets...
CCP probably made 8-10 million in the past year from dust but if they would've stayed laser-focused on the ps3, they'd be lucky to make more than a million in the next year and CCP Rouge knows this... as much as everyone hates the new direction, business is business... anyone with half a brain would do the same...

$110. I am a true believer that this game had potential. But they are destroying it by sending it off of Sony consoles.
I'm so pissed off I'm not even going to ask for a refund of the $20 I spent last week. Because I'd just be contributing to Sony's disapproval of the way CCP runs things, ruining the chance they will ever come back on the console market.

From what I am hearing they will only reimburse the last 3 months. More than likely giving you PSN credit. Not sure how many people actually got refunded on their credit/debit cards |

I bought two merc packs (dragonfly scout suit and dragonfly assault suit). Two of the starter packs that came with the Exile Assault Rifle BPO's. two of the later starter packs. an origin pack, and two of the amarr harbinger packs.
I would have bought more but they took BPO's off the market. Guess I should have learned my lesson then.

I really feel bad for the dust people at Fanfest. That's a long flight and expensive trip to just get kicked in the nuts. On a lighter note Wakarusa is in a month. best feastival this summer. And I promise one hour there is more fun than a weekend in Iceland. Click the tag for more info.

March of '13, bought a Merc Pack and around $15 worth of AUR. I have 15 AUR left from that purchase. I saw this a year ago and just played it to have something to play between matches in Battlefield 1943 (still a vastly better shooter than DUST ever was). With a persistent scoring mechanism and organized corps, BF1943 would have owned 1.8 from the get-go.
BF1943 is still live, has been since 2009, and it costs $10. Balance is exquisite, vehicles are varied and fun without being shocking difficult and/or OP. You can log into a match that is 3/4 over, dig in, play your best, and reverse the whole thing. And you do it on skill, tactics, and cunning. I'm not just being dramatic, it really is that good.

Been playing for over two years if you include the closed betas. Not bad for a $/yr. I'm not super pissed at CCP, but if I don't get an equal allocation of progression in Legion, I'll be downright irate.

I can't say for certainty what the dollar amount is but well over 500 usd. I have most of the BPOs since open beta (even multiple copies) and a lot of aurum for boosters to close the gap on closed beta vets. Sitting at 40m sp. This character is well diverse so I'm not enraged but rather disappointed.
I will not be purchasing a gaming tower for legion so as soon as I exhaust all of my officer equipment and my 130m isk, the game will be deleted and will be moving on to other titles.
I had high hopes for dust and wanted to support CCP financial to see this game improve, but with the lack of fixing fluidity over terrain and sudden invisible walls throughout the maps I cannot convert over. I'm sure legion "looks" polished, but simple lighting effects are not enough in my eyes.
