No, it's actually a matter of can we. There are technical questions and restrictions, policy questions (with Sony) and design questions (how do we convert experience when the progression system is different, items are different and ISK works in different ratios).

There is just no reason to continue playing DUST514 anymore, even if they are going to continue 'working' on it.

DUST514 is just not a good enough game to exist without a greater vision of it becoming something awesome in the future.

Being outright hoodwinked in the ingame market is one thing. But the Fan Fest deceit of "Dust Keynote" is the thing that bothers me.

I feel really sorry for Zatara and the others who paid to go to Iceland.

To say I'm extremely disappointed in CCP would be an understatement.

My only hope, at this point, is I run into all the new friends I've made (Beard, Thor, and the rest of my ML brothers) in other games going forward.

Will we see it? I think that the kind of players playing dust up until now are so rare and quirky, they wont even care and go on like they always did. We are and have always been just a statistical irregularity, not a player base. A true playerbase must be much much larger, and maybe legion will accomplish that.

Even if every Dust player quit now, they wont have lost anything, because they never made profit off of dust anyway. Let die what must die. Make place for something better.

More grindy than Dust?

I for one is happy that Dust 514 is going to be Project Legion on the PC instead.

I am how ever dissatisfied by the way CCP has handled this. There not being a clear answer to whether or our Dust characters will be carried over means that there is little to no reason in continuing to play Dust.

Dissatisfied, doesn't even begin to express how I feel about CCP. Not because Dust is dead (it was coming), but because of the way it was done. For the past few months we have had some major sp events which lead to adverts for omega boosters only to later find out that, if you did spend your money on aurum to get these boosters... you just wasted your money because this game is going to be dead. Thankfully I did not spend any money on aurum during these events, but that just shows how greedy CCP is.

The biggest thing that CCP did that really just chaps my as$ (granted it didn't happen to me, but this is still f*cked up) was the constant encourgement for dust players to buy a fanfest ticket and go to iceland (which they offer a link that provides packages to include travel and lodging) only to tell these same players that did go to fanfest "your game is dead, legion will replace it, and legion is for PC players only. Basically, "hey you dumb as$ console players that were stupid enough to buy a ticket here... F*CK. YOU." CCP just pulled a "bonus round" on those console players.

I almost did go to iceland and not only am I glad I didn't buy aurum for these events, but thankful I didn't go to fanfest. Although, if I was there, I think I might draw a "D" on that pretty new monument CCP had made. "D" for Dust... ya, I recently watched vendetta.

The idea of finally running around in full proto with officer weapons for the lulz sounded fun at first, but now I don't really care. No point keeping the game alive.

You should go now and get one of the Devs drunk. After a few rounds of sex you could draw a D on his forehead.
