The threat of hackers versus the sheer limitless potential that DUST on PC could offer. Yes, hackers are a problem in any online PC game, but there are plenty good enough solutions nowadays that exist to counter them. Most hackers in CS:GO and other similarly popular FPS game are usually banned quickly and efficiently.
Trust me, I play a LOT of PC shooters and I have hardly ever had issues with hackers in games where the Devs actually monitor and actively counter hacking. Hackers are the least of my worries.

Well you can, but good luck cracking CCPS servers. All the important info is stored and kept track on on their side, you can't modify anything client side.

The best a hack could offer would be aimbot. The in game Tacnet already functions like a wallhack so there'd be no point in that.
And when you're caught you are perma banned. Have fun hacking on a 500,000 SP toon.

While I don't revel in the impact on PS3 players, I honestly can't stand consoles.
The current PS3 DUST 514 has effectively just become the PC version on minimal settings. There is SO MUCH more potential now that it's on the superior system. |

This is a grand sign from the universe. PC gaming was my first love and it's time I returned to the fold. I'm already browsing Newegg for parts. Gonna build me a mean machine.
Time to get more EVE subs so I can multibox too.
The one thing I'm concerned about is: they'd better transfer my SP and BPOs, or I will be very much displeased.

and dust already support KB/M on ps3...
I do agree they probably realized, all console players thought " **** this is not COD" **** that... so market is more limited than they thought..... |

I'm a firm believer in P2P when it comes to MMO's, but if PL has no significant end game content with very regular additions then I see this failing very hard. Making a MMO P2P is on thing, making a shooter P2P is another entirely. |

The weird thing is that i'm A-okay with the game being ported to PC, I've always thought it'd be the move they'd eventually have to take if they wanted to bring the game up to the level that they've always envisioned for it but the way they presented that Keynote makes it really feel like they're dropping Dust entirely to refocus on Legion. There was NOTHING said about the future of Dust 514 in that vital transitional period where Legion gets to a point where it's ready for release. The future of Dust 514 is, from the keynote at least, completely non-existent.

No the level of support for KB/M in DUST ended up being an absolute slap to the face of all of the EVE players that came over to support DUST.
