I actually do this with the laser rifle. Understanding that the laser rifle is great at range, and also great at ripping red dot shields to shreds, so typically I'm pulling overwatch / direction / suppression for the team. If I'm lucky, and not running with proto stompers, I can easily surpass 20 kills in an ambush (also depending on how much I want to kill steal from my fellow blue dots, I try not to be a douche majority of the time). I feel a lot of snipers would be happier if they went laser rifle instead of sniper rifle.

Just because someone is not getting huge kills doesn't mean you are not contributing. Killing 20 guys isn't going to win the match. The people hacking the objectives and taking away CRU's and Supply Depots from enemy use are.

I don't always have 20kills a game because i'm fighting tanks. I don't always have 20 kills, but i'm the one who protect the objective from hacker, i'm the one who hack and i'm the frontline guy who strip shield of every one with my Amarr commando and Holy light of gods Scr + Laser rifle. Even if i'm okay with you about the fact, following the team is important and playing "solo" is stupid and don't help.

Personally I feel that as long as you're getting more than 10 kills in a match, it doesn't matter how many times you die. But if your gungame absolutely sucks, or if you're getting stomped, at least get to the top of the boards by dropping some uplinks or getting a few revives/triage points.
