Umm, how so?

You attach the subscription base with Eve players...You know the playerbase that is 10x that of Dust. Make them pay maybe $10 more (or whatever) a month to also have access to Eve:Legion.

Bam you have a huge playerbase that piggy backs off of Eve, you avoid the pit that is micro transaction gameplay, and devs can easily pass from Eve to Eve:Legion as they aren't coding for another platform.

Sure it's a big FU to those on the consoles, but it's a warm hug to Eve players. Trust me the the FU that was given to PC players when Dust was announced to only be on PS3 was far worse.

Wouldent work for obvious reasons.

They would have no way to make money, which is what they are doing. They are a company... they provide a good or service in exchange for money. Also the Nerf/Buff crap has NOTHING to do with the Aurum gear. It has to do with the idiocy of players who whine all the time. Try and understand that.

Also, supposedly UE3-UE4 transition is rather easy so it's possible they'll be keeping the PS3 version running for quite a while. (speaking as a coder IRL)

That's not how dev'ing works... to code for a different platform is not a huge barrier in today's modern compiler world. The D... EVE: Legion codebase already makes use of Carbon (CCP's internally developed platform) using internet spaceship code. However the devs on internet spaceship codebase still need to learn UE3... UE4... in order to touch the moment-to-moment gameplay. Doesn't matter if it is on PC or PS3/4.

I know plenty of Eve players who got a PS3 ONLY to play Dust. Plus you could have those that only want to play the lobby shooter subscribe to that or bundle Eve and Eve Legion together for a cheaper price.

Also from what I heard something about broken promises relating to the build deployment, though this is filtered through a few layers of guesswork so telephone game rules apply.
