Why would they open up the rest of the eve universe? There wasnt even enough corps participating in PC before the big blue donut...
What it comes down to is, passive isk HAS to be removed. Then, CCP has to find a way to make people fight. As it stands you make absolutely no isk unless you hold a district for at least a couple of days. This has to change.
The problem that CCP created was, it was a bigger benefit to these corps to just blue up instead of keep fighting. There needs to be more of an incentive to fight.
Yeah, i run an Amarr logi with a mass driver.. what are YOU going to do about it?

While still limited when compared to EVE, Dust is a sandbox, controlled by the players. As long as DNS doesn't break the EULA, CCP will not take action against them.
It is up to the player base to crush DNS, or the more likely scenario of DNS crumbling from within.
Over the past 11 years there have been many large Powerblocks holding massive territory and ISK on the EVE side and they all fell apart with time. DNS's end will also come. So few realize this. Fixing their **** up =/= policing PC. It was CCP's bright idea to include "poof, isk from nowhere" the players simply utilized a mechanic they all knew was broke as **** "because we can". If CCP doesn't clean up the mess they made with PC 1.0, they'll lose what little playerbase they have (outside the circlejerk) with no hope of retaining new players. The sky is falling, all hope is lost.

I really doubt that if CCP doesn't remove PC isk that this game is going to flop. They have way bigger things to worry about.
As someone said earlier, this kind f thing has happened many times in EvE. CCP has never taken the isk back, they fix the problem and move on.
DNS will crumble from inside, or someone(s) will step up to smack them down. Remember EoN? They had a boatload of isk too..

Yes, people make boatloads of money in Eve, however there is more risk to it than there is in Dust. AFAIK, Eve has never had 100% free Isk, yet here it is in Dust. We have this thing called google now. You should try it.

In PC, you seize a District and accumulate clones from nothing. These clones accumulate to a limit and then are "autosold" into ether, leaving behind little more than a tick in the corp wallet. When in the history of Eve has it been: Anchor tower, reach limit, watch corp wallet inflate? AFAIK, this has NEVER happened. This is why the PC Isk needs to go. "Most cases of abusing features for profit or advantage aren't as clear-cut as these obvious exploits, as some have negative consequences but still use completely legitimate game mechanics. When players figured out how to abuse Faction Warfare's kill LP rewards to farm five trillion ISK, for example, they did so using in-game mechanics that just hadn't really been thought through."
Its one of the first paragraphs. How do you miss that?

Alaika Arbosa wrote:It needs to go away. I don't disagree, never have. It's a ridiculous mechanic. But it was still on "oversight" by CCP (not really because we told them.) But the players who are amassing isk from PC currently did not "exploit" the game, they used broken game mechanics to gain an advantage that others did not. You can not punish them for it.
