Simple. 1/2 the price of minmatar suits, from militia to proto, and when minmatar weapons and/or modules are equiped to a minmatar suit, they should get some small fitting bonus, and halve the price on them as well.
i.e.
minmatar militia hvy frame 600 isk
HMG = 1500
forgun =1500
militia minmatar hvy frame equiped with a forgegun = 2100isk
militia minmatar hvy frame equiped with a HMG = 2100/2 = 1050 isk
Since buffing minmatar suits obviously is unwanted by the community, AND since minmatar suits are always a teir behind (an adv minmatar assault = a STD galente or caldari assault), halving the price of the suits will help lessen the blow to earnings and make minmatar suits more fun to run.
since, minmatar have a high learning curve this will help people play the suit more.

I've also found that Min Assaults are excellent hybrid tankers. You can't jack shields up too high, but you can get good shielding (405 with 3x Complex), and if you run a regulator, you get 4.35s recharge at 25 hp/s. It's excellent for keeping your shields up.
Combine with an armor plate and rep, and the Min Assault becomes much harder to take down. You can use your mobility combined with your regen to make you a deadly mid-range fighter.
If they give me the slot layout I want, I would run this Min Assault:
3x Complex Shield
1x Complex Damage mod
Boundless CR
Core Flaylock
M1 Locus
1x Complex Plate
1x Complex Rep
1x Complex Regulator
Stat Highlights:
405 shields
317 armor
4.35s delay
7.1s depleted
6.25 rep a second
Sprints at 7.4
Insane stamina recharge
The damage mod removes my shield penalty for my CR, and boosts damage towards armor.
I really want a 4/3 layout. It just makes more sense....
minmatar heavy has the stats...lol

the only thing thats good thats minmatar are thier weapons. the weapons are only considered OP when used with other suits.
if only minmatar suits could use minmatar weapons no one would complain
