With two EnhKC on the ADV, it's pretty lol-worthy. Think it could hit ~8 m/s at proto with CxKC, were anyone brave/bored enough to proto out a basic frame. Wonder if it's just an oversight, though, as all the other Heavy Frames have the same speed as their Sentinel counterparts. |

Hmm.... that may explain what I thought was a very very odd sight the other night... a basic min heavy sporting an aurum boundless HMG. I was kinda thinking it was some fool going glass cannon to the third power but maybe there was some method to the madness after all.
(Now that I think about it, still doesn't explain the aurum proto weapon on a STD tier suit though, so I'm gonna stick with my original assumption. An aurum weapon 2 tiers higher than the suit is just dumb)

What? Why? How have I never noticed this... And it's only for the Minmatar Heavy as well, the other three races have the same speed for Heavy Frame and Sentinel.
With maxed Biotics skills and two Complex KinCats:
Sentinel: 7.44m/s
Heavy Frame: 7.71m/s

Pro weapon + MLT/STD suit, I see them all the time usu a CR or VIziam + bricked armorsuit. I just assume either a)they're being cheap for whatever reason or b) FoTM chaser transitioning.

The stats for the Basic heavies are all messed up right now so it's probably an oversight. All the Basics have lower HP than the Sentinels, which is not what the devs said before 1.8 dropped. And their CPU/PG values not only don't scale, but they are even lower than sentinel at the standard level (except for the Amarr).
Until those things get straightened out I wouldn't read too far into it. |

Probably got the HMG from the heavy event back around the time 1.8 came out.
I know I am still using my AUR Boundlesses from that event.

A weapon one tier higher than the suit makes perfect sense, esp. the HMG. I put an MH-82 on my Templar Sentinel, even still the whole suit only costs like 15k ISK. A boundless on a ADV suit is similarly sensible albeit slightly less cost-effective.

Just because you see it all the time doesn't mean it makes sense! There are a lot of foolish people playing this game. You can upgrade to the ADV suit and weapon with damage mods for less ISK and similar if not higher performance.
