The current 'squad lock' was implemented as a temporary fix with the intention to put in a more solid vehicle locking system of being able to specific if you wanted your vehicle to be accessible by no one, your squad only or anyone. That this still hasn't happened is just a further sign of CCP not following through and thinking they can just leave temporary fixes in permanently (ahem SP cap rollover ahem).

Wait, there is a squad lock on vehicles? I wish I knew that before. |

Wait, there is a squad lock on vehicles? I wish I knew that before. It's not what you think it is. It's just the amount of time that your squadmates have to wait before they can jump into your vehicle is less than that which a blueberry has to wait.

Also known as: The most irritating "feature" in DUST 514. I feel bad every time a blueberry is looking for a ride in my car, because I'm not waiting 20 seconds until they can jump in.

Oh, so that's why when I actually want to carry some blueberries in my DS, they just jump around it for a bit. |

I think a really simple way to do this would be to have a menu pop up only on exit of vehicle. It would give 2 options squad lock ( so squad mates can get in ) or all (so nobody but the owner can get in) this would not be a a scroll menu just a x or o option so it can be selected very quickly. |
