Do you not recognize a troll when you see one?
Just a random question.

If you want to not be painted as guilty, then do not associate with those who are/portray themselves to be. I was never on board for my corp to join DNS in the first place, but I'm here simply because I enjoy the people in my corp (when I play, that is). Although I hate the alliance (aside from RND - they're cool) and what they're doing, there's not many other places I would want to be. So, are you saying that I should be guilty simply because I like to play the game with my friends?

emtbraincase wrote:Yes. That is EXACTLY what we are saying. You can always leave the alliance if you feel as if you are being treated unfairly (we all feel that way in this game eventually). Even leaving their alliance you can still play with them by forming squads/talking from an independent chat channel (bet you use one already anyway) and joining up from there. Nothing keeping you from doing that except your love of printing isk, so please just admit it so we can move onto something else. Otherwise, you are one of them and will get the same hate as the rest of them. lol
I'm guilty of playing the game with friends! Arrest me!

emtbraincase wrote:Nope, you said you had to leave to not be grouped into them and I agreed. You would have to leave them to not be grouped in with them. If you don't mind being hated by the rest of the community (No reason you should) then you would have to leave the alliance to not be counted among them. As I stated after that quote, I do it daily myself. Why would I mind being hated by people?
:D
Also, I have more than enough ISK. The ISK I get from my corp is just a side bonus. Although flying my ADS is very expensive. >:3

emtbraincase wrote:So you are arguing with me that everything I said was correct. Then brag about how much you had by exploiting a game mechanic.
THIS is why we hate DNS. Exploiting a game mechanic?
Locking was exploiting, taking all the land was not.
How am I exploiting?

When they stomped they did it with militia/ advanced....they stomped with skill not gear....and the game still prospered while they were here.....but you guys...the games dieing Really?
Does that look like Militia to you?
Most players in DNS are skilled. Most.

So there are GEKs and Duvolles on both sides. What's your point? People can protostomp all they want. You don't have to be in PC to make ISK. Hell, I made 100 mil+ ISK before I was in a PC corp, just running pubs in a corp with a tax. Enough to protostomp for a while.
I'm just not getting what you're trying to point out... so people on the other side using Proto as well as people on Nod's team means that EoN. weren't protostompers as well?

RemingtonBeaver wrote:A third of the game is locked out to everyone that isn't in DNS.
OH and WTF have my utmost respect for staying in PC.
It's not CCP holding PC ransom. It's DNS.
The system had a flaw (what if we decided to all be on the same side?) and DNS exploited it to the max.
The protostomping doesn't matter. The ISK gains don't matter. The arrogance and gloating don't matter.
It's that a third of the game is gone because DNS wants it that way. For ego maybe, I can't say.
What you should come away with is that the community looks down on DNS. I've spoken to DNS players that look down on it, but out of fear of being ostracized from their corps they refuse speaking against it. That sounds like absolute fun to me.
It's bad for the community, it's bad for the game, and it's bad for the mercs enforcing it.
I would hate knowing that everyone outside of my alliance disliked me because of the nefarious dealings of the leadership in my alliance.
You talk about losing friends by leaving, but you're losing the entire community. DNS is a coffin with scum carved across the top. It's not a good place to be. I agree with everything in your post, +1. I hate the alliance, and what they're doing (although, just being in the damn alliance makes people hate me... what a community we have ). I want good fights just like anyone else, as does FA's own CEO. |
