Seems they still cancel out when hit by anything......
Not sure if thats how they are supposed to be, but going from knowledge seems like its a glitch.
Not nice when your taking damage expecting that 2kish heal to have nothing happen cause someone is shooting at you with a hmg.
Please take a look at them :)

Back when I was trying them out they'd almost never work for me when I was under railgun fire. And those were the cases I needed it the most.
Ever since I've replaced it with a complex heavy extender. Easier to fit and will not fail you when you need that HP.

taking any sort of damage that would cancel your shield regen cancels your booster. CCP has not made any comment on whether that was intended or not.

They have. Given the date of that post, however, and not having seen anything in any patch notes or hotfixes, it seems the the fix has been delayed, deemed impractical, or lost priority.
We have less than half of the racial vehicles and vehicle weaponry in the game currently. CCP is attempting to balance those few vehicles we have without having a complete foundation. Not only are we missing vehicles, but the vehicles we do have are plagued with bugs. You think the whining about tanks and other vehicles is bad now, imagine how much more whining there could potentially be if they actually worked at 100%.
