I'm training into cal logi for the nanohive bonus, currently being at level 2 when I throw down a Wiyrkomi nano hive it should be repping at 77hp/s instead of its regular 70. If I stand in my hives that have been thrown by the cal logi wearing a heavy suit I only get 70reps/s instead of 77reps/s.
Is there any nano throwing cal logi's out there's how can verify if the hive bonuses are working?!
Thank you! |

They workGǪbut they disappear if you swap suits. I've heard Amarr Logi's are having the same problem.

Denn is correct, to take advantage of a suit bonus such as the caldari logistic nanohives you will need to be present on the battlefield in said suit while in the same nanohive you just dropped. If you swap suits in the middle of battle then you forfeit that bonus right as you did not full fill the first criteria of being in said logistic suit. This goes for all suits with bonuses to 'X'.
Noob isn't really a status, it's the online equivalent of a 5-year old calling you a poopy fart head.

were you hoping to be one of those guys who has 4 suits with all of the different nanohives, you run to a supply depot and drop 2 of everything down and then change back to assault keep slaying? If so... this change was meant to curb that specific action, and I personally am glad for it. equipment spam is much reduced in 1.8 and its really nice.
I play Amarr Logi now, I have no problems with refreshing my uplinks after I die.
It would be even easier for cal logi as nanohives aren't generally placed in the most strategic of positions like uplinks need to be. |

I guess I won't be training any amarr logistics either then=ƒÿ¿ What's the point of putting down stuff If you just got to go hide in a corner to keep the bonuses alive. Training anything other then Minmatar logistics is a waist.. |

It does not help equipment spam, I still throw out eight hives every time, more if needed along with almost every proto uplink when in a match =ƒÿÉ |

ha, curb equipment spam. I don't know what games you've been playing but I've seen significantly worse EQ spam since 1.8 and having to constantly check back what suit you're wearing (because tests have shown there is a buffer of time when you switch suits before the skill resets to lower tier) is probably why there has been an increase of lag on most every server.

IF CCP implemented a stealth change where suit bonuses don't apply once you change suits, that'd be FANTASTIC. It'd curb the fits where people just stack hives, uplinks, etc., swap at the supply depot and spam equipment, then resuit into their heavy or scout or whatever.
Give incentive to stay in your suit in your role. That's a great change, if intended. Whether intended or not, well, that's another question entirely...

That change already exists today. If you change from a cal logi to min logi (or even cal assault), your hives lose all their bonuses.

Your only intention of using logistics is for them to work as proxies for your real role as heavy, it seems. I commend CCP for removing this crutch from under your feet.
If you want to be a logi, be it full time like everyone else instead of thinking you can just drop equipment at leisure and then reap the rewards for your other roles.

I have actual numbers for this based on a proto bonus suit (lvl 5) Here
Just know all the numbers are assuming a lvl 5 suit spec, not lvl 2. So when seeing how the bonuses function, the top number will not be the same but the way it behaves will be. |

No, the physical properties of the equipment didn't change. It was just that the link between your suit and your device created a bonus as it should be. I only wish for that to be transformed into an overall bandwidth requirement for equipment. |

There are a lot of actual logi players who trained up multiple roles, like carrying ammo AND giving reps. The multi role logi was nerfed pretty hard. If my squad wants to spam AV grenades, I have to switch out my Min Logi for a Caldari Logi.

Think about the spam 2-3 logis could do in a matter of minutes. You could fill the map and change into a scout suit and only have to go back to the suit every 5 minutes or so. Logis should have a role that isn't just dropping equipment and then changing suits to something else. If you want 3 second spawns all over the map you should at least have to wear the suit that gives the bonus. If you want crazy reps/ammo refresh, you should also have to at least have the suit on. |

They should have reduced the variety of different pieces of equipment and had individual skills boost the efficacy of the pieces of equipment if they wanted to reduce equipment spam.
By that I mean only 2 different types of uplinks. One with more spawns and one with faster spawns, then have skills boost their effectiveness.
