Well if you see 12 heavies and 4 logis repping them there is not THAT much room for scouts...To be honest I see far more heavies than scouts (and I know how to spot them even when cloaked). But sure every once in a while I encounter a whole squad of scouts but thats rare. I even see still a lot of assault suits. When it comes to scouts I see mostly cal scouts followed by gallente and the minni and amarr.
To be honest the current diversity I encounter on the battlefield is rather nice. BTW I have ner run into a full team of scouts or heavies till now |

Ummmm, if 1/4 of each team is AFK in the MCC which is a pretty good bet then 6 scouts = 1/2 of 12 active combatants, so yeah .... numbers. |

Perception is everything. It feels like the map is swamped with scout frames because they're so fast they can get all over the map, hitting and running as they do so, and as a consequence show up in the kill feed much more often than other suits (in general).
A good scout has a battlefield presence above and beyond what most other suits can achieve.

I haven't made one of those threads, but I DID see 10 scouts on the enemy team early in 1.8 release.
Now, it's mostly heavies. |

WTF - 6x Caldari Scout (EHP 600) BFEM - 3x Gallante Scout (EHP 700) + 3x Gallante Heavy (EHP 1700) DC - 6x Madrugar Blaster (EHP 5500)
Everyone has a prefered tryhard setup however I would like to point out the Tryhardinator on Dust.Thang shows a bricktanked gallante scout as the current tryhard fit.
Unless your a Computer Scientist don't tell me how Game Mechanics Work.

They really need to do something about those armour plates.
Oh and actually make assaults useful.

They really need to do something about those armour plates. Oh and actually make assaults useful. An ewar cal scout beats all brock tanked suits. It just needs one flank and boom. Their EHP is useless. Just run away, maybe even chuck a nade at their dead body so a logi can't revive him, and hide and kill the next proto stomper. Easy as that unless you suck at this game.

I wonder how many people saying there aren't that many scouts are running scout suits. My first suit is always a scout and on most maps I'd guess almost half the team is running some form of scout. Some maps are mostly heavies.
I just got a gal scout because I can just fit it better than my Min or either of my logi suits. I don't think it makes sense that I can get more HP and more speed in the same suit but I can, so I will.
Because, that's why.
