1] I'm learning how to strafe, I've never strafed before ever maybe twice in my shooting-game career
2] I noticed that, with good players, instead of moving they're cursor around, they usually [especially PC gamers] they move there bodies, strafing. Moving the enemy into your crosshair instead of moving your crosshair over the enemy. Especially in CQC its very important. Even just practicing with it I die less.
Also, I never use anything as a TOOL. I use it as a CRUTCH. Crap now I'm a scrub.

What is funny is that if you stand still while you are strafing someone and they are strafing you it throws them off and hilarious when you know that you have the final upper hand.

Well duh!
Also, that isn't a crutch. The latency makes it necessary to hit where the person actually is but, also you'd do that in real life combat close quarter situations if you got caught in the open. By that I mean you'd move your body, not just your weapon. However, you'd move only one direction. You don't want to just stand there unless you're a proto bricked scrub who needn't worry about tanking the damage. I'd say that is the crutch.

Like, a tank is a tool, also a crutch, but a tool. If used properly, it becomes a tool. If used incorrectly, its a crutch. Like the cloak. Its a tool. A bricked shotty scout with a cloak is a crutch. Like I said my processing speed is slow so something I should've figured out a while ago I figure out a long time later.

This d be stupid (no offence)
2)maybe I misunderstood this part. Are you saying that it is better to move your body to aim to the enemy instead of actually move your aim? This is totally wrong. Bad players shoot this Way. If You want a good gungame you should move your cursor. You can See a player with a poor gun game(like those that move their body to aim better) if you counter strafe him ; he wont Land a single shot.
The strafe isnt usefull because it makes you aim better, it is usefull because it makes you avoid damage, if your strafe is helping you to aim better you are doing it wrong cause You are also helping your enemy. (obviously there are situations in wich you can use your body to aim better. But not when you are in 1v1.

Lol that seems to be the case with kids who've only played halo or cod. I'm sure most don't even know what strafing is or the fact that its been an fps staple for years.

I'm sorry but I can say that strafing was a major part of competitive halo, at least until 3 |

None taken. I know what strafing is useful for now, this is my first shooting game besides Doom.
