You can See a player with a poor gun game(like those that move their body to aim better) if you counter strafe him ; he wont Land a single shot.

The strafe isnt usefull because it makes you aim better, it is usefull because it makes you avoid damage, if your strafe is helping you to aim better you are doing it wrong cause You are also helping your enemy. (obviously there are situations in wich you can use your body to aim better. But not when you are in 1v1.

The latency makes it necessary to hit where the person actually is but, also you'd do that in real life combat close quarter situations if you got caught in the open. By that I mean you'd move your body, not just your weapon. However, you'd move only one direction.
