I understand what you want us to get out of the video, but being that it is such an old video, it is almost irreverent. Not to be rude. Sorry if it comes off that way. A lot has taken place since that presentation. The changes to FW, LP market; Which is ok, but I was expecting weapons to be different from their ISK/ AUR purchased versions. I mean....why gain LP and lose isk when you can play a match gain isk and buy the same items from the market with that isk? The items from FW should emulate their Eve counter parts. This would give them value. I wouldn't mind spending 5K+ LP on a faction Tank if it were worth it. But, if I can buy that same tank with isk...then why bother? PvE was mentioned, but we all know that is a pipe dream. I heard them say Open World as well...They seemed as if they had no real idea what was going on, Listening to them felt like, they were just given some flash cards, coached on what to say and took a look at the power point they would be presenting. Listen to how the developer answers the questions. This is true transparency. He is confident in his answers, he is not trying to sell the product, he answers the questions he can and doesn't give vague answers. This is the type of communication I would love to see come from the CCP Dust514 Dev team. Hell, I call out any Dev from CCP Dust 514 to allow me to do an interview with them. I would be fair and reasonable with my questions, but I would expect strait answers. I would not be aggressive or rude. The Devs have my respect. It may not seem like I give it, but it is there. The second speaker has been speaker for many years and that is simply how he talks. The video is not really irrelevant, only the parts such as FW and PC that have been iterated on already.Regardless the roadmap of all the stuff currently we have now has been known since July. They are pointing out that NPE, Market, PVE ect will be coming or will be a focus of 2014 simply put those are suppose to be vague answers as they were developing up until this fanfest, also PVE Drones have been shown multiple times in previews and actual in game design. So these are simple roadmaps that are never fully realized until they are fully developed down the road much like the state of FW and PC that was constantly changing. Only now you can expect a bigger focus to be on how you interact with the universe and having tangible resources that allow you to interact with other players, which has mostly been the 'MMO' goal of this game. It's just a simple road map or 'direction' they are taking, if I remember the plan after uprising came out was to release all of the racial weapons/vehicles and Core Game Play essentially which is mostly what has been released and has been generally fulfilled I wouldn't say they are not capable of generating their content but usually their ideas are pretty solid just the fact that most of this stuff is implemented and they have to continue reiterating on until it is working right. Which brings us back to the statements my friend made about us being test subjects. Why is a released product still under construction? New weapons and dropsuits that dont really provide any real difference in the game. They are just shinny distractions. Yet, the content released with these distractions is unfinished and untested. The quality of the product is poor at best. Defending or making excuses for a company that is profiting on such flawed content should not be the stance of any member of our community. ccp is a business, we are the consumer. If Microsoft released a product that was flawed and filled with bugs would you come to their defence? If so what would that defense be? That they have a road map on how they eventually want it to work? I am not defending them. The road from all the way until they decided to make releases into point updates was so that the game would be more polished until they started releasing things like PVE or Player Market. That meant adding to the core gameplay and balancing all of the weapons and vehicles so that everything on the ground would be more balanced for future gameplay types. Also Dust is always iterated on like Eve and it's always in development, therefore we will always see new weapons and vehicles. 2014 is meant to do more things besides new dropsuits/roles or vehicles.
