I don't mean the racial bonuses, I mean the equipment bonus. The Amarr and Caldari Lagistics suits both have one less equipment slot than the Gallente and Minmatar suits, so they get less from the logistics suit fitting bonus, when The Amarr and Caldari already have less PG and CPU for their suits respectively.
They seem doubly hindered in a needless way, but maybe it is fine, and needed. If so, then tell me.
If this game was fun, I wouldn't be playing it.

Double hindered? You get a side arm and extra high slot for losing that equipment slot.

Proto rep nanohives and uplinks both take more PG/CPU than proto scanners or rep tools. The difference isn't as big as you might think.

Add to that the fact that the equipment on said suits draws points passively making it easier to use those skills for higher points. As an amarr logi I am fine with our current fitting options, well aside from the fact that they intentionally omitted information to bait us into wasting SP but that is a separate conversation.

If you know what you are doing, the way the Amarr bonus works is quite nice, really. I'm fine with it.
Plus, there's not much point to most of the proto uplinks anymore so it's cheaper. My Amarr logi gets me better MLT uplinks than pretty much anything but proto flux uplinks with any other suit.
The suits themselves are another discussion, all the medium frames need work, CCP already said they are working on them next.

Not sure why you are so bothered, but I see where I misread it. The medium frames, including logis, definitely need a working over. Kagehoshi has a very good thread about it here. Mathematically, yes, there is some imbalance with the lower equipment slots, but it's hard to really balance that with the addition of a sidearm.
The Amarr logi has always needed more PG, that's not new, but at least it's better. When I started playing logi I actually went with the cal logi because the original Amarr suit was totally broken with like 25% less PG than it has now, if you can imagine that.

I have 3 of the proto logi bonuses, Am/Cal/Min and yes I was one suckered in by CCP's vague descriptions, so I am actually speaking from experience. Yes I will use each, but only depending on the people I'm playing with.
What I think was already mentioned, but glossed over by many, was that the fitting bonus is actually backwards from where OP is thinking. You gotta think about this from the other suit perspective and how much they can help their team. I see almost no change in overall WP, it's just how I get it. Realize that unless you are in the correct racial variant you may as well be a Commando dropping a hive, so the suit actually matters. Also, I start Proto to get as much of my top gear on the field then drop to adv to maintain that equip as needed and add a rep tool to the suit.
Am/Cal are perfect for drop/forget WP gains. I carry a better weapon and actually add a dmg mod because I want these suits to last as long as possible since their benefit is best over time. Those uplink/hives are earning quite well without having to do much other than find a good place, so my entire focus can be elsewhere, such as repping or finding other teammates to help. My Min suit, on the other hand has more slots, but the only thing useful is a rep tool (something not necessary for a Cal) so I am forced in it to "waste" slots on inefficient equipment that EVERYONE NEEDS but I must do at a lessened state. A Cal with a Wyrkomi and a Rep tool can produce as much (if not more) rep than a Min with the same equipment, and rep is what a MinLogi is for.
So please remember, it isn't how "much" you can fit on, it's how "effective" what you put on is. I feel sad for GalLogi as they got it worst (used to be one till it was useless for anything but slaying in 1.8). Each now has a niche, a fact I hate with the fury of a thousand white-hot suns, but just realize you will either rep like a god (to 1 person within 11m), get everybody in here, keep the pewpewpew going + rep, or show where the enemy is........and not much else very well. That equipment you put out with Am/Cal is using that bonus (both suit and race) at ALL times, while Gal/Min are only getting benefit while they are actively using their racial equipment.
To me, I think Am/Cal made out like bandits in the logi department.
TL;DR Actually Am/CalLogi are actually pretty sweet because their equip are "always on". GalLogi sux. and Min most useful standing behind a heavy. Quality not Quantity. |

Yep, also, uplinks and nanohives can be spammed (by that I mean you can have multiple active at one time), while a rep tool an a scanner are hand held equipment

I'm a Minmatar Logi and I primarily do reps, which is what the Minmatar has bonuses for. I wish I also had the Amarr Logi suit as well for anti-tanking. I do it with my Minmatar, but not having the sidearm is a real drag, especially when it would be nice to carry swarm launchers. So with only the Minmatar Logi suit I have two choices for anti-tank: Use swarm launchers and be dog food to other infantry, or carry a infantry weapon and rely just on remote explosives.
I think you're underestimating the benefit the Amarr has with that sidearm slot. I wish I had it instead of my Caldari Assault. But I was Caldari Assault before 1.8, and I only just started with Logi after 1.8. I didn't realize how much I would love logi. Helping out the team by keeping them alive has been more rewarding than gunning it out with my Assault. |

I don't care about the sidearm slot since the scrambler pistol was ruined.

I was saying the same thing in squad yesterday. Keeping a squad of buddies alive and supplied is vastly more fun than running around shooting people, it requires a higher level of thought than 'point, shoot'. Check out the Six Kin when you get to level 5, best rep tool in the game. |

Slightly off topic, but I think no logi should ever have less than 3 equip slots, ever. A logi with 2 slots is a **** poor scout Tbh. Also I think the bonus for logistics suits is good, in theory, but suffers in practice due to racial inequality (the man keeping me down). As a caldari logi, I can skimp on bringing proto hives if I want, my bonus compensates, but I absolutely MUST bring the best repper I have or uplinks/ scans, because the lower tiers without the bonus are doubly wack. I'm hoping the med frame slot balance will adjust some of the issues at hand, and I still run logistics...time will tell I suppose.
